If you are looking for good value, great position, sporting facilities, restaurants and efficient staff, YMCA Hotel Salisbury has it all. Only one criticism -small bathrooms. High standards maintained We were even upgraded to top floor when there was a problem with our room. This was our second stay and will be back. Recommended.
Great stay, excellent breakfast, although the same everyday, so you may want to mix and match if you are staying for long. Rooms are a bit small though. Transport to airport is real easy as we used the hotel shuttle. The price is 130HKD for the first person and 80HKD for the next. When you reach at the airport find the airport-hotel link desk. As we had loads of luggage and a baby with us it was a breeze when we used the service. The hotel porter received us at the street. It was really helpful. For return you have to book a seat at the concierge. The location is excellent. The start ferry is within 10 minutes walk and the MTR is within 3. When you have the harbourview room, you can see the Symphony of Lights show right from your window. Loved the hotel and the stay.
This is our 2nd stay in YMCA Salisbury Hotel in HK, and no regret of staying here. It's definitely a great chioce of hotel in Hong Kong considering its great location, fairly big room size (esp in HK), cleaniness and services. I will choose Ymca Salisbury Hotel Kowloon again for sure.
We booked and paid for a deluxe room through asiarooms but given standard room upon check in. When we told the hotel staff about the booking, she refused to change the room for us and asked us to pay extra for the deluxe room. Luckily we had a copy of the reservation we make and shown it to her and finally, she agreed to change the room for us.
Location is excellent, very close to the ferry terminal as well as the MTR.
