Value for money!
I stayed in Silka West purely for its location. I went to HK for a birthday shopping trip with the agenda of shopping in Mong Kok. I didn't want to stay in a guest house so I picked the closest and nicest hotel available. The price was good for it being a last minute thing, too. The room itself was small but clean. (Apparently HK rooms are small in general as per other reviews). The mattresses were solid (apparently usual for HK as well) and the toilet/shower area was very compact, but still clean. They also had a cafe/restaurant on level 2, but I didn't go there as there are a few places around the area if you want to venture out and have a try of the local restaurants. What I didn't know was that they have a shuttle bus service from Kowloon airport express station, Silka West, Mong Kok, and Silka Seaview. I must have missed this bit of information when I initially booked the hotel, so it was a good surprise as I didnt have to spend any money getting around on transport apart from the initial bus fee and train fee going back home. I wouldn't mind coming back to this hotel again!
