Location, location, location!
This hotel is perfectly situated for sightseeing. It's just across the street from the Tsim Sha Tsui East Metro station. Also walking distance to the harbor, Star Ferry pier, Museums and downtown Kowloon. Minden Ave. and the surrounding streets have a nice restaurant and nightlife scene as well.
The hotel was just great and the price reasonable. The rooms are smallish but not tiny. I have definitely stayed in smaller places. Being Hong Kong, I did not feel that the room was too small. It was actually quite comfy. The hotel is clean, staff friendly, service good. The continental breakfast is light but served on the very pleasant terrace.
Overall, this hotel is a very good value. I would definitely stay here again!

Booked this hotel as it had a good review - non smoking/premier room was requested but was not available when we arrived,so told the reception that we can wait until one is ready, suddenly she said there was 1 avail.when we managed to navigate thru the very narrow hallway,we got into the room and was greeted w/ stunk of smoke residue.we ended up taking all our stuff back to the reception and was moved a nonsmoking one later in the day.Breakfast was horrible with croissants/bread -they are at least a day old!the only redeeming piece is they have a nice cafe/bar set up....rooms are good for 1 person which demands a clean place to stay and central to all stuff in Kowloon.

We stayed there on Saturday the 20th Feb, the room was freezing and the Air Con unit only blew cold air so we had to request extra blankets. They supplied tea making facilities but only chinese tea bags, no milk no sugar. The fridge only contained Coke.
The bathroom was lovely but lacked everything.
Below the hotel are a bunch of bars which close at 6 am so don't plan on getting any sleep, you can't get near the hotel frontage for vans parked all along Minden Avenue from the fur suppliers in that area.
Courtneys Bar states outside it is one of the top 5 in HK by Lonely Planet....i don't think so !...more like someone has just been on a lonely planet and found this one fifth in HK.
If you don't mind no frills and loads of clubbing noise this hotel is fine , otherwise steer clear.

Good hotel with good value for monney but the disco is never open.......Not funny for evening.

found this to be pleasant place to stay. standard double with mini fridge tv a/c and a good ensuite. stay were very polite . and generally a good place to base yourself for kowloon
My stay at the minden was nice,...
My stay at the minden was nice, the location, bathroom, beds etc., just that i am quite dissapointed with the staff. After i did my check-in at the reception, the staff gave me a non-smoking level room as requested at the reception. When i went up, to my surprise, there were luggages and leftovers from the previous hotel occupants! This made me wonder how the hotel manage their checking in and out. How could they give customers a room that they have yet to confirm that it is ready for new occupants? I had to pull my big luggages down again and get another room. They gave me another room but it was obviously a smoking level room as when the lift opens, the smell of cigrattes were all over! What happened to my request?! But me and my friend were too reluctant to go all the way down again with our luggages to change a third room. So, we bear with it throughout our 4 nights stay.

The room was small but had everything you needed. Breakfast was good and cooked fresh if you did not want a continental. We only stayed a few days but used the laundry service which was quick. The bar was nice to have a in drink before going out in the evenings. It does not have pools, gyms and the like but this is not what we were looking for for a three night stay. It was only 2mins from Nathan Rd and 5mins from the star ferry. The staff were very helpful and receptionists spoke very good English. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay

The hotel offers excellent value for the price. The Continental style breakfast is free. My only criticism is the cooked breakfast at $55 with 4 fried eggs is far undervalued - there should be a choice of smaller portion. Overall, very good!
