1st time in Evergreen
Though I hv been to HK for many years, I hv not stayed at this location.
We stayed in a double smoking room only avail on the 4th flr. Alas lift service is only till 3rd flr, so those w heavy baggage will to struggle w 2 flights of stairs.
Very gd value for the budget concious / families w kids above 6, its better compared to some hotels of similar or higher value.
Pros
1. Location is very good, next bldg is Wing On Shopping Ctr.
2. Round the corner is temple street, on right is a small cafe restaurant, 7-11 on left for all night access to drinks & food.
3. Easy access to shops, street food, cafes, MTR station, Kowloon Post Office and buses.
4. Aircon is strong & cold, water is hot.
Cons
1. Room is small n very basic, upon entering, has a stuffy cockroach smell. Clears up after room is cool down.
2. No sound proofing, able to hear the sounds of doors slamming on same floor, traffic honking in the night, or loud shout fights after too much drinks on the street.
3. Area becomes a bit rowdy after 12midnight, as its a popular drinking, eating place as well as red light biz in the next 2 streets. So ladies please travel in groups.
