Can survive for short stay
Advantages-
1. Location of the hotel is at one of the most happening places of HK. You get a quick access to TST Ferry Pier, Space museum, Avenue of Stars n some good shopping places. Even the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is right at the front of Chung King Mansion gate.
2. If you are looking for some Indian subcontinental food, you can get it at a quite cheap price at the ground floor of Chung King Mansion.
3. During the festival time, the prices of other budget hotels were very high, but comparatively this hotel had a cheaper price, though not reasonable.

Disadvantages-
1. Room was very cozy and not too clean.
2. The "so called double bed" was actually near about a single bed.
3. The bathroom was very small and was door-less with a dirty torn curtain.
4. No blankets were provided.
5. Complementary services such as toothbrush, shaving kit, toothpaste were not provided, and when I asked for that, they said that it was not available.
6. No complementary breakfast.
7. There was only a single elevator working for Block A (the block in which the hotel is situated) and it took us more than 20 mins to get into the crowded elevator to reach the 3rd floor for the reception.
8. Not a good place for ladies, if they are travelling alone.
Basically, stay in this hotel is good for a single night, but is really very tiring to sleep on the small beds for more than one night.

First & maybe last
First time stay in Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui Downtown Backpackers. One word to describe for check in - Inconvenient. Checked in @ Block A level 3 and stay in Block E level 11. It took 15 to bring my luggage down from Block A level 3 to Ground floor after checked in and 30 mins to bring luggage down after checked out. The lift is too small. Many South African & Bangladesh around the building. Not suitable for single lady. Room relatively small. Might try other hostel. Many other selections within the building. Only can settle the bill by cash and no credit card at all. Inconvenient. Room charges Must be settled full amount upon check in.

Disgusting accomodation
Me and my sister stay there for 3 nights. The old guest receptionist was not friendly and not approachable. It was indicated in the reservation that the check out time is 12 noon.So we check out before 12 noon.We were so shock that we were charge additional half day because of late check out!!!!!So if you are planning to reserve in this hotel. He disregarded the terms and conditions that was indicated in the asiarooms!.i suggest that you look for another place that is more convenient and reasonable price.

Clean and all in but the tinyest I've ever seen
The room was clean and really tiny. AC, TV, internet, bed and nighttable exists one only 1,9x1,6m. Take a room with bath! The shared one is the smallest I've ever seen. Really not much more than a squaremeter for all things to do there. You cannot - you have to do all at the same time. Difficult to find and beware of people trying to bring you somewhere else. In the end this stay has been something special - in it's own way. I liked it but some others surely will hate.

It's a bed for a night
If you're looking for a dirt cheap room to sleep in, this is the place to go. We stayed in a room with a double bed. The room was just about big enough for the bed to fit in and for you to be able to open the door. The window was broken and held shut by a padlock (it was safe), and we had a tv with two channels in English. The shared bathroom was just about big enough to get in and sit on the toilet, and also acted as a shower room (there was no shower head) with a broken door. We were fine but a larger person might struggle. There is hot water at certain times of the day. Overall it was fine - a cheap room for the night with somewhere to wash.

Simple, affordable, convenient
Put simply, the Backpackers Hostel is a maze of small rooms and small beds in the heart of Kowloon. Next to the harbour, the nightlife, the shops, the MTR; the backpackers is a cheap and easy way for westerners to sling their bags down and get some kip after a tiring day. A no-star hostel with an intimidating entrance blocked by lucky lucky guys, watch salesman and who knows what else... but if you can bear that and want an affordable, convenient sleep in a city where money is better spent on more important things then this is the place for you.
