Sweet guest house
The positives: Cheap, amazing central location, friendly staff, clean and sweet room with TV and free wifi.
The negatives: really small room (but honestly not a problem for 1 person and if a short stay as you'll spend more time out of the room than in it and location makes up for this); the building is surrounded by touts for copy handbags and watches, then prostitutes and some slightly pushy men at night, as a young woman travelling alone, this wasn't an ideal choice, but I'd already travelled through Asia so this was no worse than anything I'd experienced elsewhere and although I was often approached, they were seemingly harmless and left me alone if I ignored them.
The big problem with the hostels in this building is the elevator situation: you can spend half an hour waiting for the 1 free lift to take you up or down!! you could stake stairs but in the 30 degree heat of July that's not ideal.
I would stay here again only for the low cost and location. I do not recommend this for families or solo women travellers without experience in travelling asia.
