This is the third time I have stayed at this excellent hotel in Tin Shui Wai, New Territories, Hong Kong and I will continue to use it for future visits. The rooms are large and very well equipped, including a refrigerator and cooking facilities (although you have to provide your own cooking utensils), but most visitors will not bother with this as restaurants are cheap and plentiful in Hong Kong. The hotel is a modern building consisting of two 28-storey towers overlooking Tin Shui Wai park at the rear. It is well maintained and gives an overall impression of space and cleanliness. There are numerous facilities available e.g. swimming pool, gymnasium but I have not used any of these. Staff are courteous, very helpful and also speak English.
Transport connections are excellent. Tin Shui Wai bus terminus is adjacent to Tower 1. Buses run from here to many destinations, including the airport, although the hotel does provide its own shuttle bus to Tsim Sha Tsui and the airport at cost. There is a light rail station (Ginza) immediately opposite Tower 2 which gives excellent connections to other rail links (MTR, KCR)enabling you to travel all over Hong Kong easily and cheaply. I would advise anyone planning to use public transport to buy an Octopus Card when they arrive in Hong Kong (airport arrivals hall). This is an extremely convenient way to pay for goods and services and is accepted on buses, trains, ferries, some taxis, and numerous shops and restaurants. It can be topped up at will at convenience stores and larger railway stations. If you wish to travel by taxi, there is a taxi rank situated between Tower 1 and Tower 2, although the drivers do not normally speak English.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to escape the noise and bustle of Kowloon and Hong Kong Island and who feels confident to use the excellent public transport system to visit the tourist attractions.
