We love the hotel. This is the 3rd time I stayed on that hotel. It's clean, rooms are bigger than normal hotel in HK, the staff are friend friendly, the breakfast buffet was awesome.

The hotel is right in the heart of Shatin's biggest shopping area and is within easy reach of transport to Kowloon and Hong Kong district. The standard of the rooms is within expectation of a 4-star hotel, and the service in the restaurant has been very good.

This hotel is quite a way out...
This hotel is quite a way out of the central Hong Kong business district and tourist areas. However the transport is quite good by train. It is really an appropriate hotel if you are doing work or business in Shatin or at the Chinese University. It is well located next to a major shopping mall with good restaurants. There is a direct bus from the airport to the hotel door. It seems to be generally full, but Asiarooms was able to secure a room at very reasonable rates even when the hotel said there were absolutely none available. The pool is excellent and heated for doing laps or for the kids. The breakfast is average and seems expensive unless it is included.

The only disappointment during my stay was the housekeeping staff was resistant in providing addtional towels. The subject housekeeper appeared to worry that we would steall the hotel towels. The breakfast buffet was disappointing because it had limited selection and not being replenished. The room was spacious and clean. The reception staff was pleasant and helpful.

Pluses: Excellent and varied food in all hotel restaurants. Close to KJR railway station. Friendly and efficient staff. Minuses: Location quite a bit away from the harbour city and the ferry to Hong Kong island.

An average hotel by Hong Kong standards,...
An average hotel by Hong Kong standards, a typical 4 star hotel with average services. Rooms have been recently refurbished with slightly garish pink and beige colours dominating rooms but on the up side for many, all beds offer duvets as opposed to sheets. Guests will enjoy the views from each room's huge window; river views are the best but park and residential views are fair enough. Facilities in and out of the room are good throughout the hotel for value and quality. Local residents are attracted to the hotel during weekends so be prepared for crowds of families scoffing down set lunches and lavish buffets. Located in Sha Tin, guests are a 15 minute train ride to Mong Kok or 20 to Tsim Sha Tsui East. In the immediate vicinty you will find Sha Tin race course, Temple of 10,000 Buddha's and Hong Kong's Heritage Museum. Not the first choice for tourists to Hong Kong, or for business travellers, and more for those who wish to be closer to the Chinese border or in the greener expanses of the New Territories.
