very nice hotel...but:
I stayed for 1 night at golden coast hotel.
first off all, it is quite far away from the city. there's a shuttle bus to the city centre (TST, 30min drive) but you have to pay 30HKD PP. the hotel location is perfect for those who want to get away from the noise of the city, located right next to the beach, it will be perfect for hot sunny days to chill on the beach. Overall the hotel is magnificent with great reception area. The staff is friendly, but not exceptional. I used the spa facilities ( separated men / woman) but was a bit disappointed by it, again the whole decor is very nice, but the staff really made a lot of noise by slamming doors, walking in, walking out, cleaning... not relaxing at all!!!
the rooms are nice & big, some with a huge balcony overlooking the sea. free wifi is available.
overall, I would stay there again only to have a relaxing stay at the beach for a weekend, but I wouldn't recommend it to book it if you wish to see Hong Kong city. I found much cheaper, better hotels of the same category, closer to the city.

Can be Better. Management already tried hard.
The hotel is lovely, rooms were bright and spacious. Location was nice with lots of restaurants close by. There was two downsides: 1 our room had an adjoining door, which was locked however it felt like the family on the other side were in our room. We could hear everything. 2. The shuttle in and out of town adds up. at 30 dollars pp each way.
Nice hotel, pools were great and the playing areas for kids as well. Pretty far away from everything, we wouldn't have stayed for more than 3 nights. Breakfast was quite expensive.
I and my husband enjoy so much our short stay in this hotel because our room is big facing the beautiful view of the sea it helps us to release stress and also feel like at home although the place of this hotel is quite far from the city but i consider it excellent to stay compared to the other hotel in the city so yes i will recomend this hotel to my relatives and friends and i hope they will enjoy thier stay too.

When I 1st arrive at the hotel by the hotle shuttle bus. I've experienced an unhelpful condition after i've alighted from the bus because I am carrying more than 1 luggage. Your so called "doormen' approach the 3 of us then he just let me to carry the luggage myself & direct me to the Check in desk impolitely. I thought u supposed to have a trolley or what. u r even worse than the hotel in malaysia. Customer service not so efficient experience to attend to / handle the customer. Actually it is a great place with great view too. But the service is low class .

The hotel is very conveniently located for shops, transport and for access to/from airport.
The rooms are very small and the walls are paper thin so much depends on who is next door. We had someone who watched TV until 3.00am and this caused problems. When the other neighbour flushed toilet it sounded like we were being hit by another Tsunami. Everything was very clean and although bathroom very small the shower was excellent. Mattress and bed were fine. Access to hotel is up 2 floors before you can get a lift which can be a problem if you have heavy luggage. Compared with some other hotels we saw it was excellent value.
