Value for money a bit further away from the city centre
It´s best to start with the obvious: this hotel is located offside and it can even be hard to find. But if you can think of using some extra time for the transportation, you will be rewarded: for the same money you spend in a Hong Kong Island dodgy, cupboard-size room you get a spacious, luxurious room with a splendid view over the hills and waterways of Hong Kong (I had a deluxe room). The hotel provides a shuttle service (20-30 mins interval) to Tsuen Wan MTR-station. In the mornings there is also a shuttle to Tsing Yi (with connection to Airport Express) and Tsim Sha Tsui (center point for superb shopping and home to several art venues om Hong Kong). You can also take one of the local buses (3-5 mins walk to the bus stop) passing by the hotel.
The breakfast offers quite much variety and it is served in a relaxing and elegant milieu facing the Lido Beach below the hotel.
All in all I very much enjoyed my stay at Royal View Hotel and can gladly recommend it to other travellers as well.
decent hotel
this hotel is definitely the place to be when you find yourself in hong kong and want to feel relaxed. Although far from town, there is a free shuttle to and from the busy areas of hong kong.
I will definitely stay there whenever i visit hong kong.

I was in Hong Konmg for 4 nights and I can not speak any higher of the experience that I had. Great food, great place to stay, fantastic service, and very frequent shuttle bus. 10/10

A very nice and relaxing stay. Great value for money. Just a 5-10 minute ride via shuttle bus from the Tsuen Wan MTR station. Superb sea view. HK$5 bus ride from MTR if you're coming home very late.

Other than the hotel being slightly out of way, it has very nice facilities and the rooms are big and clean. My girlfriend and I had a pleasant 5 nights there.

First,the shuttle bus service maybe need to adjust abit or perhaps change to a much bigger bus in order to accomodate the needs of the travellers. Especially for those who are holding to alot of luggages, the mini bus is not able to transport all people at one time and for those who missed it, they would have to wait for another 15-30mins.
Second, i think the hotel is haunted. First day on my stay i saw a fengshui man holding to a taoist bag walking around with a hotel escort. Then on the night of my stay, something strange happened and my gf was somehow harassed by spirit and it almost scared the hell out of us. I stayed in RM 1101. near the exit.

The hotel is excellent in price and...
The hotel is excellent in price and locations, one important thing is, as long as you got the shuttle bus schedule, would be extremly convenience to travel round hong kong anywhere, cuz their shuttle bus time is very accurate. However, this is no shops and restaurant nearby and the hotel's beverages is a bit expensive. We have called the 24 hours Macdonald delivery, haha!
