The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the entrance of Soraksan national park. It is reasonably large and has a pretty lawn and landscaped area in front but no pool. We stayed three nights mid-week during June and expected it to be crowded. In fact there were very few guests.

hotel is older but reasonably comfortable. It apparently has a lounge and casino but neither ever looked open or populated. It claims to have two restaurants - one Korean and one Western, but in fact there is one restaurant with both types of food on the menu. The first night we decided to eat dinner at the hotel but after wandering around the empty restaurant and calling to no avail, we finally left when we saw the indication of life.
We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning. Korean and "American" options were available. We had purchased breakfast included with the stay but that only included the set menus and not extras. I ended up purchasing oatmeal separately each day. The Korean breakfast was decent but they don't have a good feel for what Western food is supposed to be like.
The room was reasonably clean and inexplicably had both a full bed and a single bed in the same room. It had a balcony that had great views of the mountains. The area was very windy the entire time we were there and with the window open for cool air the wind howled through the room in a horror-movie type way, making the false ceiling in the bathroom rattle alarmingly. In the middle of the night I even noticed the bathroom light flickering weakly in the wind, completing the spooky feel.
The price was good and the location decent. It's easy to get to the hotel by the bus that runs past it. Aside from the overall spooky feel of the place it treated us well.
