Directions

Star City Hotel*** is located in the 7th District of Budapest, on the Pest side of the capital.

Keleti PU Railway Station is located just 5 minutes walk away, and this is a convenient point to access M2 (red Metro) line, part of the city’s comprehensive and efficient public transport system:

There is limited drop-off parking in front of the hotel, but secure parking is also available nearby.

Inexpensive restaurants as well as relevant sights of Budapest, such as Heroes’ Square, City Park, Széchenyi Bath etc are in the neighbourhood.

On foot from Keleti train station
Walking out of the train station’s main facade, turn to the right (roughly NorthWest), take the pedestrian crossing accross the busy „THÖKÖLY ÚT” street and enter BETHLEN GÁBOR utca by McDonald’s.

Walk straight ahead until you reach the 3rd intersection.

Turn right onto ISTVÁN utca, walk one more block, and you will find Star Hotel on your left at number 14!

From the airport
If you arrive in Budapest by plane, please feel free to contact us and reserve a shuttle from Ferihegy Airport to Star Hotel Budapest in advance.

Transfer

If you prefer public transportation, you should take Bus 200 – Airport Bus – which takes you to the end station of Metro line 3 – called Kőbánya-Kispest.

There you should take the Metro until Deak Ferenc Ter / Square – where you need to change to (and buy a new ticket for) Metro line 2 in the direction of Keleti International Railway Station.

From the the train station it is just a few minutes walk to the hotel, as detailed above.

From the airport you can also reach the hotel by train.

It takes less than 30 minutes and costs 300 Hungarian Forint (1,2 EURs).

It arrives at Nyugati Railway Station.

From Nyugati you can take the metro to Deak Ferenc Ter / Square and then take the sameway as mentioned before.

By car
Entering Budapest via M7 from Vienna and the west, follow Hegyalja út and signs for Erzsébet Híd (Elizabeth bridge- the square, iron, white bridge) to the Pest side of Budapest.

Cross the bridge to Pest and continue straight for 2 km (6 traffic lights) until the grand façade of Keleti railway station.

Now you are close, but there is a complex one-way system to navigate: In front of the grand facade of Keleti railway station, take the left lane and follow the road round and back to the West for 100m, and quickly move to the right lane and turn to the right just before the large underpass (onto Rottenbiller utca)

On Rottenbiller utca, take the 3rd right turn onto István utca, and continue 1km (2 corners) and Hotel Star is at number 14 on the left side.

Short-term parking is available in front of the hotel entrance.
