Hotel Description

The boat hotel is a 40-room establishment that was reconstructed from a Russian paddle-wheeled steamboat built at the beginning of the 1900’s for the Romanov dynasty in Somorskiy shipyard. It was named “Veliky kniaz Alexander Mihaylovitch” and mostly sailed on Russian waters (Kaukasus, Merkur). The hotel was totally rebuilt in 2006. It is located at the loveliest green area of Budapest, the Roman Bank (Római Part). Besides the rooms, the boat hotel – moored on Budapest’s virtually only intact Danube bank, also welcomes its kind guests with a restaurant, a cafeteria, a night club. The rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with en-suite shower and bathroom, minibar, television, phone and internet access (WiFi, free of charge).

The reception area provides a central safe, and a 24-hour room service is available to our guests. A direct boat service operates from the boat hotel to the city center from May to September. Our guests may choose from the various programs offered by the area: from cycling tours through outdoor pools to waterskiing. A few of the numerous cultural points of interests are: the Aquincum ruins, St. Andrews island (Szentendre) or the Danube bend with Visegrád and Esztergom.
