Radisson BLU 1919 Hotel is an upscale downtown address in the very heart of Reykjavik. The hotel is located in a beautiful historical building known as the “Eimskipafélagshúsið” which opened in the year 1919 as the headquarters of Iceland’s first shipping company. In 2005, the building reopened as a contemporary design hotel but has kept some of the classic elements such as the green marble tiles and the extravagant 5 story staircase that runs through the centre of the house.
