Grand Hotel Reykjavik was built in 1985. This is a high class hotel, superbly furnished and with an international atmosphere.
The lobby is large in size and is in an elegant area with white marble floors, separate green and pink seating area and a long reception desk with gold trimmings. There is a pleasant relaxed feel throughout. The hotel has a very modern facade wtih red and grey wall panelling and is fortunate to be surrounded by grassy areas. The building resembles an apartment block but nevertheless is certainly not an eye-sore.
