Stay Well Clear
As we knew xmas/NYE is a busy time, we booked Nizmar Resort, Calangute 10 weeks in advance, and was given conformation. But when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that they were fully booked! The staff were very rude, not helpfull, and couldnt recommend any other nearby accomadation, as there wasnt any due to being 2 days before NYE ! We found very this all very stressfull, but eventually found a guest house in Vagator, which infact in much nicer place than Calangute.

In comparison with other hotels we had...
In comparison with other hotels we had visited in India, this hotel was clean, had all facilities a traveler would require.The staff was polite and eager to assist in everything. The airport collection service is also available 24/7. If you are looking for a good and cheap place that's the hotel for you but only if you are okay with Old Delhi!

Clean,very friendly spacious room with a comfortable...
Clean,very friendly spacious room with a comfortable foam mattress. The best value from the six hotels we checked. A good 20 minutes walk to the beach. The tariff was 37% higher then advertised and we stayed off season. (best to book through Asiarooms . . but remember to book at least seven days before)

The hotel staff were very friendly and...
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite big and spacious although the furniture was quite old. The location was very good but we needed a taxi to take us to the beach as the direct walk took us through building sites and the local shacks were people lived, not a very pleasant walk. Lots of restaurants around, the Midas, across the road has air conditioning and the food is great. On the whole a very good experience and I would go again.
