A great place to stay. We had a slightly odd start to the holiday when we found that, despite not arriving until 5pm (which the hotel knew was going to be our time of arrival as they had picked us up at the airport), our room wasn't ready for quite some time. After expressing surprise at the length of wait, we ended up being upgraded to the heritage suite, the best room in the place - which was absolutely fantastic, complete with private swimming pool. Can't fault it as it was beautiful and it was just wonderful having our own pool.
Bizarrely, the hotel had closed the bar (with no obvious plans for it to re-open) although you could still purchase drinks at the cafe/restaurant. They had also closed the outdoor restaurant, and this seemed to be undergoing some sort of refurbishment. Both of these things were a bit disappointing as the website still promotes these facilities. Still, the staff couldn't do enough to provide good service.
Would recommend the hotel, would love to go back, but it probably wouldn't be the same unless we went back to the heritage suite.
