It was a horrible experience to stay...
It was a horrible experience to stay at this hotel. First of, the weather in Jaipur in May is around 45-46C. After checking in we're put on a top floor, which was hot and extremely uncomfortable. About 2 hour later, after seeing the temperature in our room ddn't change very much, we asked them to check on the ac. The technician came and did some checking. An hour later, nothing had improved. We called again, this time the guy showed us the temp. measured in our room was 27C and rising! He said there was problem with the ac and i asked him to change the room for us. After several phone calls and another hour we were finally moved to another room! The next room was a bit better than the first one (temperature)but still quite comfortable (23C) all night. We didn't go to bed until 1:00 am! The next day, the room temperature condition didn't get any better but we accepted the fact knowing they wouldn't do any better! Surprisingly, they managed to keep the lobby cool but that's the only place that's cool in that so called 5-star luxury establishment! Then came to food at its international cuisine restaurant. We ordered a pizza and ceasar salad, supposingly freshly oven baked from a fine dining restaurant. The pizza came with its crusts as thick as it can be! It's a typical ready made, frozen pizza that you can get from a Walmart or any supermarket! Later on we brought that to the attention of the front desk manager and he contacted F&B manager. After checking it out, they offered to take the pizza off our bill! And by the way, to make up for our "hot" room, the internet was reluctantly free of charge. This is a hotel managed by Le Meridien, how it can let something like that happen?

We stayed in this hotel last week...
We stayed in this hotel last week as part of our mini honeymoon in India. First impressions were wow..a very attractive hotel with beautiful grounds. We stayed in a villa and this was very nice with a huge bathroom and a wonderful private garden. Service was very good although like most 5* hotels was very over the top and at times quite intrusive. Food was very good at the hotel restaurant though very expensive. I phoned the hotel a few days before our stay to collect us from Jaipur railway station as we were travelling from the Punjab. We never found the car they claimed they sent although they tried to charge us for this. I complained to the manager and they reluctantly waived this charge. Local taxis are much much cheaper than the cars provided by the hotel by the way. A major criticism i have regarding this hotel is the location. It is 25km from the city centre, although this doesnt sound far ..it is when you realise this is India with its (to be polite)developing roadways. It took an hour plus to get to the hotel from the major sights in the city centre. My overall impression is a very mixed bag with an equal number of pros and cons regarding this hotel, but i do recommending not going in July as the weather is unforgivingly hot and humid and extremely unpleasant.

The hotel is lovely with very nice...
The hotel is lovely with very nice grounds, which does protect you from the hustle and bustle of a big Indian city. However the downside is that it is quite a way (approx 20km) from the centre of Jaipur and if you need to rely on hotel cars to go to and from the city it can become expensive (as Le Meridien only offers their own cars and not a local taxi facility and as a result each journey is approx 3 times the cost).
