At 2km from Kumbelgarh Fort and 1km from the Panther reserve the Aodhi is a gem of an hotel where guests can 'endure' superb service and attention or hike in some of the quieter jungles of Rajhastan.Built around central service areas of pool and restaurant the rooms are large, air conditioned and tastefully decorated. We stayed in a suite for three nights at the end of a long holiday. Great for romantics and anyone who enjoys animals, (a tiger walked around the edge of the grounds on our first evening), only the screaming of small unsupervised children on our last morning interrupted the constant calls of birds and cicadas. We would return tommorrow if we could and aim to in the future. Not really suitable for families with small children or business travellers as the Aodhi is quite a distance from towns and cities. But for those of us who are trying to get away from just that, the Aodhi serves it's purpose superbly. Oh, nearly forgot, Mr Singh in the restaurant is brilliant.

This is quite an expensive hotel, and we felt we were not really getting value for money: Yes it's in alovely setting, yes it has a lovely pool, but service was iffy, cleanliness left to be desired (the sink and the loo in the bedroom were not properly cleaned and the waiter handed me a knife by holding the blade - not very hygienic). We stayed in much better hotels, family run hotels, which we really loved and would not hesitate to go to again. However in Kumbalgarh, there is not a lot of choice.
