Wouldn't visit again
We were so much disappointed with the double bed room. It was equipped with only one small bulb in the room, so the lighting inside the room is very poor. The bathroom is worse as well. The waste water inside bath tub couldn't flow out. One more, the noise from the room next door can be heard clearly. Luckily we stayed there for 3 hours only.
A pleasant surprise!
All of the reviewed areas were great! The constant refurbishment was the only down-side, due to noise. The pool area was a bit restrictive as it is so small, but given the price, not bad at all. (We had a deluxe room....well worth the extra cost!)

Stayed here for 1 night so I could renew my Australian passport in Bali. The room price was more expensive than advertised on Asia Rooms but not a huge amount, they did let me check in about 4 hours early so I was ok with the different price. The rooms are old but they are clean and large and they have hot water and a bath. The swimming pool is clean and the staff were friendly enough. A lot of backpackers here but it wasn't very noisey late in the evening. I have lived in Indonesia for 2 years and as far as cheap hotels go I think this one is good value for money but you will find cheaper. It's in a good location, not to close to the Kuta club strip but not that far either. There are plenty of little bars near the hotel which sell cheap drinks and there are a couple of good food places as well. Overall I was happy enough with the place and would stay again.

if you ask an extra bed you get a mattress on the floor, that was all the negative from this hotel to tell, everything positive and we would stay here again

Recommended.
A grand spacious place in a backstreet, with an excellent swimming pool, good bar and dining room. Close to Kuta shops, Poppies II and not far from the beach. A most pleasant stay. Good value.
HATI! HATI! (Lookout! Or beware)
Twin non smoking room booked. Free pickup from airport confirmed by separate email by the hotel. We (2 women) arrived in bali at 11:30pm. After waiting until after midnight for the promised hotel pickup we took alternate transport . The hotel was aware we had transport booked as my name was on a white board behind the front desk. We were advised by the night manager two drivers for the hotel had called in sick at the last moment. This does not excuse two women being left waiting at the airport.
It was past 1am when we were finally shown to our room, only one bed, but two ashtrays. I asked where the second bed was. The night manager tried to convince me i had only booked one bed, but luckily i had print outs showing otherwise. I requested another room and was advised none were available. I requested a mattress for the floor, which was provided. It was filthy. My previous trip to bali i stayed in a hotel with wooden shutter and no glass in window. That hotel was a five star hilton when compared to this one. We then discovered there was only one towel, this made me laugh because i had confirmed with the hotel by email towels would be provided for bathroom and swimming pool. When i lifted the curtain covering the window in the bathroom i discovered it looked onto another room the same size, i assume it was another bathroom.
By about 2am we agreed we had no option but to stay for the night. When i cleaned my teeth ready for bed, the water splashed up my legs. Further investigation showed the sink was simply resting on top of the drain pipe and not actually attached. The balance was precarious, i should have let the thing drop on the floor instead of catching it!
As mentioned in other reviews, construction was happening at the hotel, this was not a problem, and despite the early start of the workmen the noise was not intrusive. I could have handled it.
The room was badly situated, with people sitting in the dining area being able to look directly into the room offering little privacy, this t0o i could have accepted at a pinch even though it was not ideal.
We were not there long enough to check out the swimming pool.
When we booked out the following morning the hotel tried to extract an extra fee from us for leaving earlier than we had previously booked.
This establishment is to be avoided at all costs.

The hotel have very friendly staff... The condition of the hotel is abit appaulin how ever its okay for what you pay...
