We stayed 3 days at the Candy...
We stayed 3 days at the Candy Beach Cottage. We had a nice and relaxing stay. The hotel is a bit far from town, but we hired motorbikes to get around.We can recommend this hotel.

A very nice and quiet hotel near Candidasa. Room is spacious and clean. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Close to the beach.
Breakfast is lack of variety. Not many channels on TV. Internet access is not free.

The reason why we have chosen this hotel was the tennis court.
I was very frustrated when found that the charge for the court for 1 hour was 50,000 IRU (5 USD)!
Everywhere in the word tennis facilities are FREE of charge for the guests!
Another frustration was a charge for the snorkeling gears (masks, fins) and kayaks equipment, insipid of saying they are free in the hotel website advertisement.
Internet access charge was ridiculers - 75,000 IRU (7.5 USD) for 45 minutes - minimum booking time!
Hotel administration service was not good enough due to poor English. This caused an incident when the tennis court was booked for two guests at the same time.
We were staying in RAMADA hotel before for 4 nights paying roughly the same rate and all the above facilities were free of charge, including internet access

No particulary comments because we stayed in this hotel during 2 days when the weather was not really great. So we couldn't be very objective for all facilities this hotel could have.

It´s really good to relax! Nice swiming pools! Nice garden! Private Beach! Good place for SNORKELL in front of the hotel(especially for beginners)!

Spent 5 nights here. This is a perfect hotel to stay on a romatic getaway. Two pools, yoga lessons (US$20), by a small private beach.
Taxi ride into town at night costs 20,000 rupiah with free taxi back supplied from hotel. Try vincents restaurant in candidasa. Nice atmosphere and food.
We went diving to the wreck at tubulen with the local inhouse dive shop (rainbow divers) and were very happy with the professionalism of the dive master. yoga lessons were excellent.
As of Sept 2007 there is only 1 ATM in town but can not handle international bank withdrawls. New ATM capable of international bank withdrawls is getting built by the petrol station but is not yet hooked up.

A hotel which is strongly frequented by mostly german groups. Has seen better times. Breakfast buffet filled up with rests of the all inclusive dinner buffet. Service from very friendly to dull. The connecting door between room and bathroom is only a lamelladoor ! Sorry can not be recommended.
