I had a fantastic stay. Fabulous facilities, staff were very friendly. I was there during Balinese New Year and, though disappointing to lose a day of being a tourist, I can't imagine a nicer place to be under these circumstances.
the air-conditioning in our room wasn't working...
the air-conditioning in our room wasn't working properly, the toilet bowl was leaking and we had big black ants crawling on the bed and on the floor.
since it was rather late, we decided to live with the issues but we did ask for the toilet bowl to be checked. no one came.
the next day, our request for a room change was handled rather rudely, with the guy at the front desk saying "we're fully booked. only one room left", almost as a 'take-it-or-leave-it' challenge.
we had a bad experience as far as the room was concerned but of course, it could have been a one-off incident as the staff were generally very pleasant.
The hotel is well located in Jimbaran...
The hotel is well located in Jimbaran bay if you like to see fishermen village and have diner on the beach. For those expecting a nice beach with clear water, this is not the place. Note that Kuta is even worst as there is no real sand! For beach, swimming, snorkeling... we highly recommend to go to Nusa Dua. The sunset is really good as promised. Hotel restaurant is reasonable even if outside is always cheaper. Anyhow it is good to have western food time to time since fish and seashells is a bit boring after a week ;)
Coktails at pool bar are excellent and service staff is pretty good and welcoming.
We spent good time and this is good value for the price. You might be surprised when arriving as this is really local architecture and rooms are pretty dark with cut-wood furnitures... All together, this is what we enjoyed compared to big international resort without any local soul and spirit.
The garden between the rooms and buildings is very nice, and particularly at night.
One thing is that the bathrooms need to be renovated in Delux rooms. By the way, Delux rooms are not well described on the websites but this is really better than superior or standard. Standard rooms are too small and dark. Superior have nothing special. Deluxe are typical balinese and we get used to decoration very quickly! At upper floor is even better for Delux.
Also, internet is available only at the restaurant which is not convenient and that should be one priority for future hotel-works!
In all, that's the place for quiet holidays with average budget and for people who are not reluctant to some old lenses and old shower system!

staff are very friendly and helpful,hotel is right on the beach,food is average but still o.k.facilities are good but rooms could do with a little updating,but then again you only use it to sleep in,all in all i would probably stay there if i returned.

We had a fabulous time. We stayed at the keraton at the end of our holiday on Bali and it was just what we needed; a bit of pampering. The beach was quiet, clean and hassle free and the fish restaurants nearby were cheap and the food was delicious. Also we loved the Keraton's graden.

no activities or entertainment arranged by hotel...only volleyball! not many restaurants to choose from outside of the hotel. No gym!
We had asked for an upstairs room...
We had asked for an upstairs room but the one we were offer first was in a very dark part of the garden near to where renervations were going on, so requested an upgrade which was not available, however another room was offered on the ground floor with a more open aspect. The room was spacious and more what we had hoped for, with a lovely king size double bed, air-con, Mini-bar & TV but there were no tea making facilitites in the room (a big minus point for us from UK).Shower room a bit dissapointing as layout awkward with towels behind shower curtain.
Well maintained grounds leading directly onto the beautiful Jimbaran Beach via good sized swimming pool with towels available. Loungers available on the hotel beach which was kept clean and clear of jettison washed up from sea. Lunch menu requires more snacks and sandwich type items - after the excellent breakfasts we did not need another main meal for lunch! Draught Bintang beer was a plus point though expensive compared with outside the hotel.
Plenty of taxis available which was good as hotel long way from main shops at Kuta.
No ATM at hotel or in vicinity - difficult to get cash as it is many parts of Bali but hotel did change travellers cheques quite happily.
We enjoyed our stay at the Kearaton, the staff were so helpful and friendly and would definitely stay again if we return to Bali! Thank you Asia Hotels for arranging our booking. David & Margaret.

Kuta is terrible // the only thing is, that the most people are so important that they reserve their chairs early in the morning and put personals on them....?????? -> only stupid
