The hotel premise is generally well-kept but...
The hotel premise is generally well-kept but my main grouse is that some of the linens (sheets, towels, etc) look well-worn, if not suspiciously grey. Although I have a room at the far end of the hotel, I could still hear the performance at the Centrestage at midnight. Cld be due to the height and direction of my room, and my luck to stay during a Saturday night.
What I like about the hotel - A fantastic pool with lots of features to satisfy the young and young at heart, and good bathing facilities. The hotel also has interesting family rooms with access to a nice courtyard and kids' room at the same level that makes it a surprisingly good choice for families with young children. The kids' room is also one of the best that I have seen in Bali, even when compared to some of the more expensive hotels in Jimbaran Bay and Nusa Dua. The generous day-bed (FOC) that can sleep two young children is also a definite plus

The Hard Rock lives by its reputation and that is why I was dissapointed by the rooms provided. They were basic and well worn. I expected a bit more invention and style. I did not like the bathrooms with louvre doors and open window! The hotel pool was excellent and the breakfast very good. The hotel layout was impressive and the very good house band was playing as we arrived. It all makes for a very good impression but the finer details could be improved

We had a great time at the hotel. Great beach access plus a super pool. Well located for shopping in Kuta. Good contrast to the rest of our visit to Bali which included a stay in Ubud.

Room décor is cool and bright using shades of blue and white, mixed with art décor and minimalistic furnishings and Internet connection via the TV. The ?happenin? pace of this resort may not be for everyone, but it certainly is the ultimate rock retreat.
