I had booked for a standard room...
I had booked for a standard room but upon check in got upgraded. So I got a nice room with a balcony facing the sea.
Location is great, facing Kuta beach and the happening area.
If you don't like salty water, they have an infinity pool on the roof with a great view.
The staff was very friendly.
You can probably find cheaper places, but have been there twice and will still stay there next time.

Had a lovley stay at the Mercure...
Had a lovley stay at the Mercure Hotel, the location is excellent, right on the seafront and in the heart of the action in Kuta. The fantastic swimming pool is perfect for watching all the action on the beach, it keeps you cool in the heat of the day while you are safe from all the hawkers, it is an excellent place to watch the sunset! The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, if you try speaking Indonesian to them they warm to you even more! Overall it is an excellent hotel and a great place to stay!

The hotel has a very nice location, in front of the Kuta Beach and close to Poppie Lane. The beach view room have a wonderful view on the beach & on Kuta.
The swimming pool on the roof has an amazing view on the sea and is very calm.

Great hotel, excellent location. Clean rooms, nice interior, though standard room quite small. Good facilities and new and fresh. Friendly staff. Would go back in the Mercure Kuta hotel again!
Great short & secured stay
My travel buddy and I felt very safe at the hotel as there were security personnels scanning all cars entering its compound and also our bags as well. The manager on duty was quick to offer us another room when the safe deposit box in our room was faulty. He even brought us personally to the new room. Both the buffet breakfast spread and service at the restaurant was excellent too! Love the excellent pool view on the rooftop!
However, the free wifi available was weak or even non existent in the bedroom. The only connection I got was when in the lobby.
