We both enjoyed the Mercure. The rooms...
We both enjoyed the Mercure. The rooms could have been a bit larger as we booked a superior room but had neither a view of the beach or a large room. Standard rooms must be very small. The staff were wonderful and loved to speak English to improve their language skills. The buffet breakfast was great and there was always plenty to eat, although the restraunt was not well supported at night even though the food was reasonably priced and very tasty. All the staff were very pleasant, constantly greeting us and very helpful. We would have prefered to have someone at the reservations desk who spoke English fluently as we were sometimes unable to makes ourselves understood which resulted in frustation and confusion. We were unable to book tours or have internt access during our stay. Our rooms were neatly made up each day, although the sheets were not replaced during the stay, there were fresh towels everyday but we could not get face cloths. It also took us 2 attempts to get an iron and board. Overall we enjoyed the Mercure, especially the rooftop pool and outside areas on the roof... great at sunset with a beer.
