Strategic location. Easy access to beach, restaurant, shopping mall and shops. The room a bit noisy and small.
Great value for money
Had a great stay. Stopped on the way home from the UK to Australia so just wanted to relax and recover from jetlag. Very comfortable, rooms nice and bathroom as well. Pool area is not as large as other hotels I have stayed in but I have no complaints. Breakfast was enjoyable and a good spread. Staff couldn't of been friendlier. Will stay again
great location
Great location with a wonderful roof top ocean view. Just across the road from a nice beach and a short walk to shopping. Rooms were clean and nicely appointed albeit a bit small and dark. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Mercure Kuta Beach
The main selling point of the hotel is the location. It is strategically located next to Hard Rock Hotel Kuta and it is only 10 minutes walking distance to the nearest shopping mall, Matahari and 20 minutes walk to Discovery Mall.
Foods is easily available around the hotel compound area. Just walk out from to the main entrance and you can get fast food and seafood at both your right and left hand side. The price is quite reasonable.
If you prefer to eat the traditional Indonesia food such as Bebe Bertutu (Duck), you have to walk to Jalan Bakung Sari in which you will find restaurant Dayu I and further down the road Dayu 2.
The room set up is quite old due to the years of operation of Mercure Kuta Beach hotel. The bedsheet of the room that I am staying smell a little bit like cochroach. :)
Overall, if you are looking for strategic location with medium range of price, you can opt to stay here. If you prefer to spend more time on the beach, then it is advisable that you stay at Legian or Seminyak's beach area.

very nice view but hotel room too small
nice view but room too small for a deluxe and food not nice. even breakfast choices are not interesting. the only good thing is the swimming pool & location in the centre of kuta beach.
The room was really clean, except there was not enough lights, so it was dark during the day. The breakfast was fantastic, so much to choose from. I wouldn't say it's family friendly, not much for kids. The pool was amazing, we loved being in the pool looking over kuta beach.
Great location and good breakfast
Had two nights here in December 2011. The hotel is on Kuta Beach and close to shopping at Kuta Square and numerous restaurants. The roof top pool and restaurant have a lovely view to the ocean. The breakfast buffet was tasty and lots to choose from. Would gladly stay again.
Didn't want go home.....
I found that everything about the hotel was perfect. Its location is perfect. Directly across from Kuta beach so you could surf in front. But you could walk to all areas of Kuta with ease. Rooftop pool was great also. Good value for money, the rooms were great, maybe a little bit dark, but everything you need is there. Big thanks to all the staff and see you again soon.
Great location and enjoyable stay
Location: Great location, near poppies lane, about 15 mins walk to discovery shopping mall, just right across kuta beach. Convenience stores are just around the corner.
Friendliness: Hotel staffs are friendly and polite and helpful too.
Room: Stayed in the standard room for 3 nights which is on the first floor, quite okay with it but the bath tub in the toilet may be too slippery when bathing, hopefully it can be improved, as it may be dangerous for kids. I stayed in room 124, and knocking of doors can be heard throughtout the day, not too sure If it's the room next door or upstairs,
Cleanliness: Generally clean in the hotel premises
I'll definitely go back to Mercure if I'm going back Bali again, and yes the pool view is just awesomely great!
