Fantastic place!!!
Fantastic place!! We spent 9 nights in the hotel and we had a really lovely time.
People are very friendly, food was good, swimming pool very enjoyable and good place to relax.
Its located a bit outside of the noisy streets but close enough so you don't feel isolated.
Seminyak square is just 5 min drive by taxi and very good restaurants just 5 min walk from the hotel- I recommend "Biku" -good food, reasonable prices and home like atmosphere.
Overall, very good value for money. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nice hotel
My wife and I stayed here for our first 3 nights in Bali, the resort is pretty nice but is a little 'rough' around the edges.
The main feature are the two lagoon style swimming pools which are lovely and the grounds of the hotel are very well kept; the staff are also all very friendly and happy to help.
We had a lovely time here but there are a few draw backs
1) The rooms are a little dated and could do with being redecorated; the bathrooms in particular need freshening up.
2) The catering is quite good but the music played by restuarant staff was extremely unsuitable; at times it was like lying in the sun at a hardcore rave; we were quite stunned they didn't think it a bit inappropriate themselves
3) The hotel is not in Seminyak despite the address; the centre of town is a taxi ride away and takes 15minutes or so, not the end of the world but means the best beaches/bars/shops are not walkable
4) WiFi is available but very expensive even compared to London - there are two free-to-use PC's in reception but they are very slow.
Other than that it is a nice place and is good value for money !

Great relaxing hotel
Great hotel, lovely staff. Close to good restaurants. Rooms were clean and had everything you need.

Beauty & relaxation
I loved every minute at Hotel Vila Lumbung. It is a quiet oasis away from the mania of Denpasar and Kuta beach. The Balinese-style huts have a lot of character and the hotle-like rooms have a gorgeous view of the pool and tropical gardens. The terraced pool has a waterfall and little bridges to swim under. The hotel isn't new but is well established and tired in parts, but I liked that. Good breakfasts and 2 gorgeous private gazebos to dine in. The staff were super-frindly and chatty. I hired a driver for the days I wanted to go out, otherwise I walked to the shops and eateries. Very close to Potato Head which is a must-see. But is you want to go the beach or to Seminyak it's best to get a Taksi.
hotel lumbung was a great hotel, lovely pools, attentive service. Not much choice of food but restaurants are a short drive away and the hotel will gladly organize transport.

Enjoyable stay.
Stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the good food, swim-up bar, spa, split level pools and friendly service that was provided.
A great family destination
My sister and I stayed at Villa Lumbung and thought the accommodation was great. We did have a few problems with the lack of flywire on the windows and doors (mosquitoes at night!)
The hotel has 2 shuttle times a day, the shuttle will drop you at the beach, but not pick you up. They should really do one into the town centre too. But, let's be honest, taxis are very affordable!
Cleanliness at the hotel is excellent. We had a very affordable massage at the hotel's spa. The pool is great and would be excellent for a family holiday.

This is a great hotel. The grounds are really beautiful. Villa's are a great size, very clean, big veranda's and the staff are fantastic. It's a bit far from town but plenty of taxi's available all hours of the day. Can definitely recommend this place.

Stayed here in April 2010. Was a really lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and greeted us with a cocktail and a bowl of fruit when we arrived in our room.
Room was massive with a large balcony. Pools were nice too.
Food was ok however this wasn't a big issue.
There was a strong smell of sewage in our room which passed after a day or two.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
