Private, but in need of a make-over
Alila Manggis was our first stop, before heading to Lovina and Seminyak. We stayed 2 nights there (between 26-28th Apr'12) - overall, we enjoyed the privacy and the fact that the surroundings of the resort were well kept - nicely manicured grass, pool was inviting, very attentive pool-service, restaurant was clean - and food was pretty good as well.
The single disappointment was however the room itself - it felt old, the wooden doors and furnishings had a wet-humid mouldy smell, and in need of a make-over. The TV was tiny and there were no proper movie channels. We would highly recommend that Alila Manngis undergoes some renovations all at one-go to upkeep the image and the overall experience for its customers.
