Absolute Paradise
We stayed in a club room, very clean and spacious. The hotel garden/grounds are absolutely beautiful. We took our 3 month old baby and found the hotel very accommodating.

i have booked ocean view room during...
i have booked ocean view room during mid Nov. The room is directly above the lagoon. My sons has a good time feeding fishes. the room has a day bed which convert to extra bed for my son. However, we must careful to leave the food lying around as ants will crawl over them. The last day, we had browish water from the tap for a few hours. Anyway, we use bottled water for drinking. The hotel is within walking distance from Bali Collection. A big advantages

The positives, the Grand Hyatt is a...
The positives, the Grand Hyatt is a beautiful hotel with incrediable grounds with plenty of restaurants and swimming pools. We have a 10 year old son who enjoyed the water slides. It is a short walk to Bali Collection which has a nice selection of shops and restaurants but a bit pricey. Our favorite restaurant was Tropical Grill. If you walk a bit farther there is a local market that has nice things where you can negotiate for a good price. We stayed in a Club Room which was nice but for the price not exceptional. The in room "high speed" connection allowed us to download email but we were never able to get on line. The beach was beautiful to look at but the waves break on a reef approximately 30 meters out so the waves that reach shore are very small and except at high tide the water is very shallow. Our biggest disappointment was the free Continental breakfast in the Club Room. After staying in similiar Club rooms in other parts of Asia we thought for the price of the room they should provide a full breakfast buffet.

We couldn't move out of the hotel...
We couldn't move out of the hotel fast enough. There is nothing in the area (Nusa Dua) except other resorts. The hotel did have good facilities but it was so isolated that it felt like we were trapped in candyland. The service was also very impersonal. We had a 10 month old child with us and did not find it very baby friendly. The food was very average and thought their prices were expansive. The rooms/facilities are old and tired. Overall it was not a good expericenc for us. Would not recommend it unless you want to spend all your time inside an isolated resort.

Grand Hyatt Bali is a nice place...
Grand Hyatt Bali is a nice place to stay. We got upgraded to a club level room with nice ocean view, with the understanding that the upgrade is for the room only, not the daily free snack treats which is no problem. We tried the Japanese and Italian restaurants in the hotel. Both have great food and good service. The daily breakfast included by Asiarooms provided by the hotel Garden Cafe is great. The selection and freshness of the food is superb, the service very friendly. We definitely recommend the Grand Hyatt for families.

This place is great. Very reasonable. We ate here every night (except for the night of the bombing and we were in Kuta). We stayed here on our honeymoon and at the 4 Seasons Sayan and Jimbaran Bay. Sayan is incredible well worth the money. Jimbaran is ok and Grand Hyatt is much much better (of course you dont have your own pool but your at the beach).
