Beautiful setting in Nusa Dua: spectacular gardens, pool, beach. The rooms were very stylish and nicely designed. A good price for the room through asia-hotels.com, but everything else you buy in Nusa Dua is double or triple the cost of what it would be elsewhere in Bali. And if you have to see a doctor, watch out! I had the flu, and called the hotel doctor for some aspirin and antibiotics. He spent 10 minutes with me, then charged me US$150! The food at El Patio was unimpressive. We didn't try any of the other restaurants. Overall, it's a very nice, large hotel with good facilities, and reasonable room rates, but be prepared to pay a lot for everything else.
The Melia Bali is an excellent hotel....
The Melia Bali is an excellent hotel. Without exception the staff were friendly and helpful, and the landscaping of the resort was stunningly attractive. The hotel would be best suited to younger couples (it's very romantic) and for those with young children the spacious, shallow pool is ideal. However, if you're looking for wild nights clubbing, then choose somewhere else. The food is expensive, but the number of restaurants in the resort means you're never short of choice. Also, the hotel is very close to the Galleria, a kind of open air shopping mall which has numerous competitively priced places to eat. The galleria also offers a far better rate of exchange than the hotel. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay at the Melia, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Nusa Dua.

The Melia Bali is a large and yet surprisingly cosy and personal hotel, situated close to the Galleria Mall on a lovely stretch of beach. Interesting lobby with painted ceiling and cascading flora, extensive facilities, lovely spa and a large free form pool. Garden Villa rooms offer additional luxury and privacy.

It is in all aspects a second home in one of the most beautiful suroundings and in the company of the most dedicated staff and management you could not find anywhere else !!!!!! Rating 10+

None that Ive found yet......Maybe...not enough hours in the day to enjoy the harmonious surroundings.
General Comments:
I have stayed at the Melia 6 times in the last three years, having travelled the World I've yet to find anywhere that matches the ambiance and friendliness of the Melia. Following the refurbishment the rooms have been given a new lease of life and are more then comfortable
