Magical Mimpi
Mimpi is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our enjoyment, especially our scuba guide Meg, and our driver, Dicky, who treated us not like guests but like family. The attention to detail of the grounds was stunning with flowers, trees, pools, hot springs, shrines, and sculptures around every bend. Our room was amazing with a veranda and our very own frog pond, half-open bathroom and an especially cozy bed.
I've never stayed in a resort like Mimpi and I fear I never will again...until the next time I return.

The hotel is located in a lovely area of Bali. In other words....it's blissfully uncrowded!
The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are nicely appointed and the service very friendly and gracious. We were there at a time when bookings were very low and suppose that some of the extra attention we got was because the employees had time on their hands. We had one of the garden villas and I recommend that type of room over the standard room if you like privacy and can afford the price difference. Next to us was a pool villa. Since it was unoccupied I snuck over to look at their set up.... very nice. Our villa was steps from the upper hotel pool in the complex, so we did not miss having a private pool. The mineral water hot tub in our garden more than made up for it! One word of caution... being this close to the hotel's pool can have it's drawbacks as we found out the evening a very noisy family checked in and decided to use it! We suggested to the hotel they make that pool area a "quiet zone" due to the proximity of guest rooms. There is another huge pool on the property located far from the rooms and a perfect place for little ones to do their squealing and playing!
All in all, the place is a great getaway!

A beautiful peaceful hotel in an amazing location. The rooms are spacious, clean and have outdoor bathrooms! The restaurant is a little pricey but services wonderful dishes and cocktails. The swimming pools are clean and have amazing views, unfortunately the hot spring pools are a little too hot to enjoy. The only other negative I can think of is the prices at the spa; by Balinese standards it's extortionate!

We were surprised with the very low occupany at this beautiful resort. The resort has natural hot springs in its property and has many hot spring ponds and 2 swimming pools. The resort is nearly 3 1/2 hour drive from the Denpasar airport being situated at the north-east corner of the isalnd. But it is near the coral island Menjangan which is very beautiful for snorkelling /diving. It is worth the effort to go to this resort -though it can get very quite in the evenings and hence recommend the hotel for 3 nights only. The rest of your stay in bali you can spend near Kuta/Nusa-Dua.

Very very nice hotel. Quiet. Good dives. Bungalows are big and well decorated. The resort has several swimming pool and hot waters. The garden is beautiful. the massages are wonderful. Everything was perfect !

Yet the hotel staff is not very helpful in the activities and the restaurant is absolutely not good.
I was staying 2 days at Mimpi...
I was staying 2 days at Mimpi with my family and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. I would like to particularly highlight the different pools and hotsprings - fantastic for all ages! The only minus was the fairly high prices in the restaurant (knowing that it's the only one for miles!)
