This was our 6th time to Jayakarta. We always love it here for location and value for money. We will be back. Glad to see some work is being done around the hotel as it was starting to get dated.

My first time at Jayakarta. Paid xtra for Superior room, was good value. Drinks too expensive at pool bar, staff not overly friendly, treated like a number. Good buffett breakfast. Buy beer from men with eskys at back gate for 10,000 rp, near beach, take bag with you and then enjoy beside pool or in room. Spent a week here then a week at Puri Raja, 2 doors down. Staff there a lot more friendly and reasonable prices at restaurant and bar. More Aussies at Puri Raja, aged between 30 and 50. Jayakarta has mixed nationalities, good for families, a big resort type place.

The hotel is perfectly located between Legian beach and busy street. But the lush garden could keep you away from the bustle of street.
The deluxe room I stayed looks a quite bit of old. There’s no hairdryer nor safety box in the room. I asked housekeeping in the first night to bring me a hair-dryer. But I couldn’t get it in the 2nd day when I changed to another room.
As a single traveler, a single-bed room or twin bed is acceptable. But a triple-bed seems too exaggerated. Under firm request, the friendly front-desk finally agreed to give me a king-sized-bed room in face of the sea. Unluckily I found also some obvious stains on the chair.
The hotel has three swimming pools, a tennis court, a gym without aerobic-training but only weight-training machines inside and other facilities that can meet the need of major tourists.
The room price matches its service. But I would not expect either too much from this hotel.

Hello, I love staying at Jayakarta that was my second time I stayed and would only stay there every time from now on. The rooms were always clean and the young man who clean them for us was always happy and polite, the bathroom had a leak in the roof coming down from up stairs and apart from that they were always clean. I was greatful for being in room 307. An when I return in 6months I will be asking for the joining rooms 307 an 309, as I will be bringing my children. Thankyou once again look forward to returning cheers Julie Hoffmannbeck.

This place is like Bali's answer to the Canary Islands - good price value, central location, but very busy and touristic. Good for families with kids.

The hotel has a splendid pool view from the hotel entrance and has direct access to the large public beach. Location wise is good too as sea-side restaurants are located right next to the hotel and plenty of street shopping available within walking distance!
Room wise, the furniture is a bit old but generally well-kept, in good condition and clean. All units come with balcony with chairs and table for relaxation. Ground floor units have direct access into the garden.
Food wise, nice Indonesian food are served at the in-house restaurant. However, breakfast perhaps can be improved by introducing more variety to the food. The breakfast menu throughout my 3 night stay were entirely the same!
Overall the experience was good and I was happy with the service. Highly recommended for budget travelers.

This is agreat location, excellent space between units BUT the rooms definitely need a major upgrade otherwise good.
The hotel was fabulous value for money....
The hotel was fabulous value for money. My 13 year old loved the main swimming pool as he met a few kids to play with. I loved the breakfast, and the choice of a separate pool away from the kids to relax around. The room was basic, but clean and cool.

This was the second time that we had stayed at the Jayakarta and we thoroughly enjoyed it once again. We were staying in the back block in room 542 whiched backed onto the carpark. Would of preferred a garden view room but we were not in the room long enough really only to sleep.
Pools are fantastic there and the breakfast is great every morning.
Get to know the locals out the front on the beach - they are a great group of people :)
