We know Bali more than 20 year...
We know Bali more than 20 year and travel a lot on this isalnd. In all that time we never had a rooom like that. We booked the standard room via internet due to late arrival in the night. We never will do this again. The room was very, very small and the bathroom needs an immidiate renovation. Also towels and bed sheets are very oldand dirty as well. They need to be changed. The place of Pertiwi Hotel is nice but only if you stay in the deluxe, supirior or family rooms. Do not got there and take the standard rooms. They are much to expensive for that what you get. There are so many places in Bali where you can get a very nice room or bungalow for this price including good facilities and service.

Nice hotel for the price. Room could have been cleaner. Older hotel needs some renovation. Great new restaurant. Fantastic location in the middle of town. walk to anywhere. Grounds are fantastic...like you stepped back in time I do recommend the hotel despite the negative ratings in some areas. We will go back and recommend to friends.

This was a lovely place to stay...
This was a lovely place to stay but do bring your insect repellent! It was so nice to stay at hotel with beautiful surroundings, stunning flowers and the peace and quiet of the country. The breakfast was very disappointing though with very little selection. The two pools were fantastic! Very close to shops etc and a mini-mart just across the road.

Didn't enjoy my stay here. The curtains in the room did not shut properly and we were on the main pathway through the hotel. The rooms were poorly decorated with dark ceilings and lightbulbs without shades. The air conditioning unit rattled and was underpowered for the room. The room didn't make you feel sexy or comfortable. I got the distinct impression other guests were not happy with the hotel as well.. e.g. people asking for money back etc.

There is no TV, no fridge, no...
There is no TV, no fridge, no mineral water and no coffer maker. The bed was the worst that I had ever slept on in a hotel. The bed will make a lot of noise if you move around - definitely not good for honeymooners. The mattress was also too soft until I felt like sleeping on a water bed. The size of the room was also very small. Technically, the space is limited to 2 feet wide surrounding the sides and the bottom of the bed, and it is just enough for you to walk out from the room and to the toilet. The toilet is so small that it can't even fit a proper sink. There is a dirty sink located inside the room (not the toilet). I don't even dare to use the bathtub as it is dirty and not well maintained. The service was also very impersonal and lousy compared to another resort(Sri Phala) that I was staying at Sanur a few days before I moved to Ubud. When I arrived early to check-in, I was told by the front desk that I could not check-in until 2pm. However, they offered to help me put my luggages into my room when the room I was suppose to check-in is emptied. So, I can continue exploring the Ubud town and not worrying about coming back to the hotel to check-in at 2pm. Unfortunately, when I came back at night, I found that my luggages were still at the front desk. The hotel staffs did not do what they promised to do and simply putting my luggages beside the front desk. I feel that they are not treating their words seriously. If I had known that Pertiwi Resort is such a lousy place to stay, I would have extended my stay at Sri Phala Resort, Sanur. Travelling by taxi from Sanur to Ubud only takes about 30 minutes, and the fact that Sri Phala is $USD15 cheaper than Pertiwi, I could easily justify staying in Sanur and visit Ubud daily by taxi. It is just not worth staying at Pertiwi. If you are considering staying at Ubud, I would suggest you look for other boutique hotels at Ubud.

Landscaping around Pertiwi Resort & Spa is excellent with wonderful pools, plants and layout. We stayed in the deluxe room and were a bit disappointed. It was clean, but not as nice as we expected. Location was good, however.
