5 star service. well trained staff. very private villa, discreet.- general manager Ray Clark very warm and knows his staff by name. The villa was a pleasant surprise with a magnifcant bath room. i will definately visit again expecially when the sea villas are completed. spa service was good. only comment was that perhaps tad too modern. especially for spa. too nautical setting. and bright , needs for less light with the typical balinese dark with scent oil burning would be nicer experience. overall, an excellent choice, must go. food service was great especially for breakfast. came with mains, frutis and unlimited juices villa could hv done with a enlocsed dining, living area rather than patio style. which they hv noted in their new villa renovations.
As it appears above we were overall extremely satisfied with our stay at Samaya.
However, we have one major complaint:
One nigth the hotel became the venue for a 300 external guests evening event (prewedding). Given that Samaya is a 24 villa boutique hotel with a restaurant capacity of max. 75 people it is obvious that this event represented a complete disruption of our vacation, actually for three days since tent were to be built etc. one day in advance and taken down the following date. This implied a number of disruptions of the day to day life. The evening itself Samayya was converted into a kind of Kuta-style discoteque, which was indeed not what we expected.
We stayed at Samaya Hotel for 1 week and it was really fabulous !
The villas are spacious, with a private swimming pool & the bathroom is great. Privacy is respected and you really feel at home in your villa.
The service is what you can expect from a 5 stars hotel, such as the restaurant. The hotel is on the beach, and the sea view is amazing. Moreover this part of the beach is quiet, you can really feel on holiday.
People from the hotel are very friendly and they really do their best to make your stay perfect.
I definitely recommend this hotel, for sure one of the best in Bali !
Don't hesitate -- The Samaya is fantastic. It is EXACTLY where you want to be in Bali. The Samaya is in the perfect location in Seminyak, a short walk (or take their free car) to KuDeTa or Hu'u -- arguably two of the most stylish bars / restaurants in the world. Everything about the Samaya is "understated" luxury. True minimalism without overt modernism. Outstanding, professional service. Would go back in a heartbeat.
