We stayed at sofitel seminyak september 21-24/09 2005, the hotel itself is very modern, large airy rooms, nicely decorated, beautiful grounds etc. Great location, right on the beach and at the end of the main street in seminyak where all the nice bars and restaurants are. Beach isnt the best, and food wasnt great. we had room srvice one day which was cheeseburder and chips it looked very nice but when we bit into it pink blood dripped out and we both had food poisoning afterwards. Also not enough sunbeds around the pool, if your not down early with your towels then you struggle to get a spot, all in all a great hotel, nice and clean, lovely grounds but just a couple of small faults

A wonderfull hotel, probably the best hotel in it,s category on the island. The gardens are beautiful, and the two swimmingpools are extraordinary! You must try the breakfast, particulary the french brioche with fresh strawberries. The rooms are big and newly decorated. All the feeling of a first class hotel keeping the human touch. Highly recommanded!

we stayed 2 nights august 2005, deluxe room was wonderful the bed awesome , amaxing swimming pools, great breakfast but service, what service. each person had some kind of limited job description and so no one can actually finish ANY request themselves, off you go to the next person and the next. too many heads up too many asses staff and customers

We stayed there at the end of May. The refurbishment works are in their last phase, we hardly noticed them- Excellent for the rate offered by Asiarooms at that period- we didn't manage to negociate for less locally! It was so nice that we decided to stay there again just before our return flight.It has the advantage to be isolated from Legian - not too many people around. The staff were friendly, and the rooms very well decorated (Asian modern style) and comfortable -we were upgraded on our second stay. The two pools are very nice and have good size - you can see the sea from one of them and it's got a jaccuzi. The hotel is at walking distance from the bars and restaurant of Semyniak and at "taxi" distance from Legian, which is good as we didn't like it (5 minute drive). The hotel Thai restaurant while expensive for Bali was very good. We would highly recommend people to stay at the sofitel.

Had a really enjoyable stay of 3 days in April 2005. My accommodation was tasteful and totally comfortable. The Sofitel Seminyak staff were very helpful. The facilities will be excellent once all the refurbishment is completed in the pool area. It must be stated this did not detract from one's opportunity to relax by the main pool. The Husk Restaurant's cuisine and service was of a high standard. However, I believe families with young children need some access to a westernised menu at night on site within the confines of a restaurant. I would return here without hesitation

I just returned after having spent three days at the Sofitel Seminyak hotel. I received 3 complimentary diner vouchers, one for each of my nights. The food was good and my renovated room was nice, as were the staff. However the hotel was eirily empty and this gave it a depressing feel. Also, the location is at the end of the very congested main street in Seminyak and therefore separate a bit, but it remains, as Seminyak does, very much a part of very noisy, congested, crowded and seedy Kuta. I would avoid Kuta/Seminyak.

We upgraded on our own to an ocean deluxe view room at the Sofitel Seminyak in Bali and that was facing a rubbish dump which does not belong to the hotel. Overall, very friendly and earger to help syaff. Received 3 days of complimentary meal vouchers as compensation against seaside pool closure due to upgrading. Hotel does look old but our rooms have been refurbished. Since we are well verse with bali so location was a known factor. Appreciate the expediency of Adsiaroom reservation very much. Keep up the good work. Thx.

The hotel will be nice once the renovation is finished! Stayed in Oct 2004 and the lobby, sunset bar and main restaurant were all closed! Our room was very tired - shower was useless, generally tatty. The newly rooms looked much nicer. The hotel will become a Sofitel. Drinks & food very expensive. Walk 20 yards onto the beach and a beer is 25% of the price.
