The experience we had there was really great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic, with an individual pool. Otherwise, the resort is in the middle of the jungle, with a really amazing view on the trees. The bus shuttle is very practical to go to Ubud (ponctual, very often, very quick). An ideal place to stay in a quiet and romantic atmosphere.

My husband and I stayed at this resort in Aug 2010. We wanted to experience somethig different from Kuta ect.. It sure was. The Location was spectacular. Be mindful that the there are quite a few steps 200+ to get to the Spa and lap pool, and the wooden hand rails on the way done are termite ridden and are not safe to use, so would not recommend for older people. Overall the views and location outway the small imperfections and problems. Had a nice stay.

The service was exceptional - its a shame there were very few people staying during our time there. The general feel of the place is it is in need of a little repair but overall its nice, friendly, conveniently out of the way and charming

My husband, son and I stayed at...
My husband, son and I stayed at the Natura for 2 nights in June 2009. The Natura is outside of ubud about 15 minutes by car and is quite isolated. Its a picturesque resort that has all of the ingredients for a great romantic time away whilst in bali if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. The restaurant overlooks the rainforest and the main pool has a stunning view over the cliff face. The rooms are lovely and spacious. we had a private pool. The staff are friendly and were always happy to assist and transport us in the hotel car as we requested. We stayed there with our son and found it probably more suited to couples for a romantic getaway who don't want to do much. The breakfast at the restaurant was nice. We stayed for dinner at the restaurant on one night of our stay and were disapointed. It was probbaly as a result of the resort being quiet when we stayed (i think there was only one other room booked) which caused the resort not to stock some of the meals we had ordered but also we ordered wine and they didn't have any by the glass available (again probably not their fault as there is presently a wine shortage in bali and i wasn't prepared to pay over $120 AUS for a bottle of AUS wine you'd pay $10 for at home.) We then tried to order vodka but they had none, as with bacardi etc etc. The staff spoke little if any english but were still friendly. There were some mainenance issues with our room that need attention. ie the shower rose was broken and the shower flooded the bathroom & the front door lock wasn't properly secure, and the enormous ants on the deck prohibit you from being able to enjoy the oustide deck, private pool was really cold so we didn't use it. But the public jacuzzi next to our room was nice. the resort was reasonably priced and i would still recommend it for couples to stay but if you looking for a nice restaurant I would recommend instead "nomad" in ubud which was beautiful.

Staying at the Natura Resort was a delight. Beautifully set on a forested hillside, it was a wonderful escape from the busy streets of Ubud. The only sounds were the birds, the river and the quiet chatter of the staff. If my travels ever take me back to Bali I will definitely stay at Natura again.

This is a beautiful hotel, in a...
This is a beautiful hotel, in a stunning setting. The room, bathroom, outside bath, daybed, plunge pool, lap pool, infinity pool, spa, all were first class. There were three elements which let the hotel down badly, which is a shame because with a few changes I could be describing the best hotel I've stayed in. First of all, there is a serious mosquito problem. The hotel is fumigated every Wednesday so it is hard to say that the management is not doing enough to combat the problem. Secondly, they tended to run out of everything. We visited towards the end of the tourist season, but we rarely found the food and drink which we ordered was actually available. Thirdly, the price. The cost of food and drinks was very many times the going rate for other hotels in Bali, and in respect of the price of their supply, it's fair to say that The Natura's margins are pretty excessive. All this said, on balance it was a very good hotel, shame about the London prices.

While the setting is nice, this place...
While the setting is nice, this place is not appropriate for people with a disability or for small children as there are steps everywhere. The spa and lap pools are a long (150+ steps) down the valley. There is a complimentary afternoon tea with fried bananas served. Staff in the restaurant is friendly and the food is good. In general, the level of English is not great, so there can be misunderstandings when orders are passed. There is a shuttle bus to go to Ubud but one has to book the return or call the hotel otherwise the bus won't be there. People are not necessarily warned and we heard several people had to get a taxi to get back to the hotel as they had waited uselessly for the shuttle at the Ubud Palace. The main problem is that the hotel is right next to a village, separated only by a wall, that hosts thousands of roosters and dogs. Earplugs are a must or you will not sleep at night. Maybe if you are in one of the more expensive villas further down you are away from the noise, but if you stay towards the top, you will get tired. I had a massage (advertised as $ 35) and signed the bill in rupiahs. At check-out, we noticed the spa bill had been typexed and numbers had been changed. When asked about it, the receptionist said they had made a mistake and corrected it! We told her they should have told us about it and we would have signed a new bill but that they should Never change the amount on something already signed. She did not seem to think it was a matter of importance. Do check your bills.

This hotel is in a beautiful, pristine setting, perched on a ridge overlooking a gorge a few kms outside Ubud. The architecture of the hotel is lovely and the room we stayed in (deluxe villa) was very clean and spacious. The staff is most cordial and anxious to make your stay a pleasant one. There is frequent shuttle service to Ubud (10 mins away). Highly recommended.
