A very special hotel which i can...
A very special hotel which i can recommand very much. Only the location is not so convenient, as you always need to take a taxi or the shuttle service (but only available until 5pm). But all togehter it was a perfect hotel,not too big and with its individual note and service.

Uma Ubud was the most romantic and...
Uma Ubud was the most romantic and relaxing resort I have stayed at including comparisons with other places around the world. Quite exceptional and would recommend to anyone who would like to visit the mountain village of Ubud. Would love to stay again!

It was a refreshing change from the buzz of kuta/legian area. After having moved from Bali Niksoma to UMA, it was such a world apart. This is a peaceful and serene place to stay in. Although it is not recommeneded for families with children as there is nothing much for their young ones to do in the hotel. We are certainly very pleased with the premium level of service from the staff in UMA Ubud. The design is modern and simple. We stayed at the Terrace Room, which is a breath of fresh air from the many typical bali resorts style that we stayed over the years. The thoughts to the little details such as the bath towels and foot towels which is changed frequently. The bed is heavenly and it puts one into a comfortable sleep in the night. Definitely a bargain for the price that we pay as compared to other hotels around Ubud.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay at this hotel.The hotel staff were most welcoming and provided excellent service and the hotel is obviously very well managed.The hotel is conveiently located, about 1-2 kms from the centre of Ubud and provides a free shuttle service during the day, around the main part of the village. Hotel transport, at cost, is available for short and long trips.Food was excellent both in the dinning room and room service, which was very prompt.People with mobility issues may find the some of the steps daunting. Definitely not wheelchair territory.It is a wonderful hotel.

We had a lovely stay at Uma....
We had a lovely stay at Uma. The service is excellent and the staff are very courteous and helpful. The place personifies simplicity and elegance and was exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast at Uma perhaps was the high light of the day. You can choose from a varied organic interesting ala carte menu instead of selecting a standard set of food from a buffet. They also have complimentary yoga classes, walking tours etc as a part of your stay. The swimming pool is very nice as well. The only reason Ive chosen 'most likely' to stay again in Uma is because Bali is a beautiful place and I would love to try other types of accomodation and perhaps another town like Seminyak, which is closer to the beach. The garden rooms with the black stone bathrooms are spacious and very nice and are value for money. The Uma suite (where we actually stayed) is also a good option as it is exactly like the pool suite minus the pool. Though they call it a suite it does not have a partition between the bedroom and the lounge area. The gym is small equipped with free weights and 'Life fitness' machines -cross t a rainer, treadmills and a bike. The minuses - mobile phone reception was not good, the TV in the room is out dated. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

It was a great stay Fantastic service and the ambience was perfect for a getaway from it all; for couple like us. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic and generous, service was attentive and top notch . As it is the sister hotel of the high end como brand, the rooms and facilities were impeccable and of very good taste. My only grouse was the massage, as I expected more from them.Im sure you can get a better deal in town and they also might arrange a trasfer to n fromthe hotel for you. Slightly below expectations for the money we paid. Location wise was ideal as it is very near to monkey forest road n ubud palace wheer all the shopping and food places are and it was within 15 minut walking distance from the hotel (however its not a flat road so be warned)Taxi is within 20,000 to 30,000 rupiah howevr there is a complimentary bus transfer from the hotel But for those that want to be near the ayung river, might need to consider four seasons or como sambhala (expensive!!!). It is also a good stop for toursits that want to visit the kitamani or the other places as there are many shope offering the packages (but remember to bargain hard) Overall very satisfactory however a bit on the expensive side but I really think its value for money. Will recommend my friends there and will love to return soon.

I stayed in Uma Ubud with my wife and we had moste relaxing experience at this place. i cannot think of something to complain or even to say it was only ok. it was just perfect! very good value for money!
