Overall very good hotel, We stayed for three...
Overall very good hotel, We stayed for three nights end july, the rooms are very neat, but could have been a bit bigger. On the grounds there used to be another hotel before the Uma, so the gardens are really mature, this adds to a certain feel of the hotel being established for a long time.( although the facilities are quite new) We booked the rafting tour and the bicycle tour through the hotel. The bicycle tour took about 4 hours and we were accompanied by a most knowledgable guide. There are not alot freebees (except the Yoga class and the morning walk), and expect to pay international prices for drinks. Service is very good, I would stay here again.

We'd love our stay at the Uma....
We'd love our stay at the Uma. It rained the first day or so, but it certainly made the grounds lush. We enjoyed the morning yoga, the koi pond by the restaurant, and once the sun was out, sunning by the pool. The design of the hotel is beautiful...from the linens and the layout of the room to the furniture...I wish I could decorate my home like this! The staff was very helpful and stored a large painting for us for several days. Wish the shuttle ran a bit more frequently, but we were always able to bargain for very cheap cabs from the museum next door. We will be back!

My husband and I loved the room,...
My husband and I loved the room, pool and the quiet ambience at the hotel very much. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great as we can pick and choose from a list rather than the standard buffet type. The yoga class was good too. But too bad we just stayed for a night as it is quite expensive.

Lovely modern style resort, excellent breakfast and service, all staffs are very friendly and polite. The free morning yoga class is a must go, good instructor with a lovely yoga pavilion. We enjoyed stay in this resort and highly recommend to anyone who look for quiet environment and high quality service.

We stayed in Room 37. It suited us as a couple - nice room with a super comfortable mattress. Bathroom was spacious and more than adequate. Everything is tastefully decorated with a funky undertone. Library selection of books was excellent. Breakfasts were superb and the only thing was that we didn't stay there long enough! Will definitely return.

The moment we steppped in, it was...
The moment we steppped in, it was so peaceful and relaxing. Loved everything about the property. When I walked in to the room, I was jumping with joy. Loved the bathroom and the bed was heavenly. Breakfast was fantastic as well and the staffs, absolute jem. I hope I can visit again soon!

I took a short break with my two boys aged 8 and 11. I would highly recommend the Uma Ubud. It's not really a family hotel but my boys enjoyed the quiet surroundings as they are really into plants and fish. The lovely gardens and Koi pond at the Uma kept them quiet. There was also a walk through the paddy fields in the afternoon organised by the hotel and I was able to practice yoga every morning at 8 am in a pavilion overlooking the gorge with the sound of nature in the background. The staff really went out of their way to ensure that things were right throughout our stay. I informed them about a wasp nest in the outdoor shower in our room and it was speedily removed by the time we got back from dinner. The Uma is a stones throw away from the celebrated "Mozaic" restaurant and not too far from the starting point for white water rafting.I like the fact that it had a yoga mat in the room even though I didn't use it and had great aroma therapy based bathroom products. Good free shuttle to town too. I would go back for a repeat stay.

Great food and excellent service. This property is the best value in Ubud. Food is just as good or better than 4 seasons. Food is much better than Began Giri which is a sister property.
