Got deluxe room. Room was okish but bathroom smelt strange. Buffett breakfast was terrible. Location was right on the beach. Probably would not stay here again.
Peaceful Sanur
Love staying in Sanur. This hotel is right on the beach front. Beach beds are on the sand. No one bothers you or hassles you. Staff were very nice and we found on arrival we had been upgraded to a bigger room by the pool and the beach. We only paid for the room but were offered a 5 dollar per person set breakfast per day which we accepted and that was fine. Restaurants in Sanur ---The Pub -- Massimos / The Porch . Irish Bali Band at the Wicked Parrot - outside the hotel alt nights. If shopping for pashminas go to Hardys first --10 Mins Walk From Hotel On Main Street Set Prices And Probably Cheaper Than You Will Bargain For. Also Check Out Other Items As Well,tops,dresses etc .
Love the hotel and the location. Think I will spend more of my time at Sanur next visit . Lots of Europeans in the resorts and not many people on the streets or in the shops in the daytime

Surprises, beyond expectations!
When we were dropped at the entrance of the hotel, the construction of the new was a bit misleading at the beginning, nonetheless a very kind person greeted us and helped with our bags. It all started from there, the beautiful architecture, the location, the vibe and the smile from the people gave us an excellent impression that later was backed up by an excellent service, extremely nice room, great hospitality and delicious food. Definitively will be back to Griya santrian..Allow the magic to just lead the way, tirimakasi!..Beautiful All The Way!

This is a gorgeous place, absolutely beautiful grounds, good, relaxed but efficient service, spacious and in a good location.
Even though we were in the cheapest type of room we thought it was great. It was really big, plenty of room for an extra bed for my daughter and even to run around a bit on the day it rained. It had a large balcony for relaxing and playing, giving you a sense of your own space outside. One of the resort's three pools was on the doorstep.
My one quibble was that we were at the road end of the resort but had to go halfway back toward the beach and then double back on ourselves to get out to the road. But the good side effect of that was that there weren't many people trudging past our room. In fact, overall it was very peaceful.
We stayed in another resort down the road in our second week (Santrian booked out!) and even though it was about the same price and really very nice, Griya Santrian is just a cut above.
Great Value in Sanur!
The Griya Santrian was great value for money, in a great location, with friendly and helpful staff.
clean and tidy
would look elsewere if visiting Sanur in the future --at this price you would expect breakfast to be included-visitors ,mainly europeans- -delux rooms are clean --grounds well cared for --good eateries just outside on main road -
Tropical paradise
A group of 10 of us stayed in four rooms. Accommodation and staff were fantastic and went out of their way to give us great service . The food at the restaurant was fresh, tasty and reasonable.. This property is exactly what we were hoping for to give us the idealbalinese holiday. We couldn't fault it and definately coming back again.

Loved the Griya. Spent 7 nights in a deluxe room (#114) on ground floor. Room spacious and very clean. Lovely terrace area outside with day bed fro lounging on.Service excellent. Grounds are amazing particularly at night.Pool closest to beach busy most of the day but had no real problem getting loungers. Other pools in garden areas more sheltered and less crowded. Checked out cheaper garden rooms and would be more than happy to stay in this room type next time - refurbished to modern standard whilst still having Balinese charm. Only had 2 meals at Griya - Pizza from pizza bar which was very nice and also attended Beach BBQ night (takes place every Monday night). Food nice but expensive. Massages and other beauty treatments available in charming semi open air building on site but once again more pricey than other health spas close by. Impressed by level of security at this resort.

I got a suite and there are two types of suite, a Balinese style and a modern style. I got the modern style which is very classy, modern, clean and spacious. The balcony is nice and wide with 3 chairs. I would love to stay here again. My only complaint is that the air-conditioning can get quite cold and it was a bit difficult to turn it down. But I must admit, it was heaven after being outside in the hot humid weather.
The restaurant at Griya Santrian is a fantastic place to be at night, with the gentle wind from the ocean blowing the long curtain drapes located around the edge of the restaurant. It is so relaxing and peaceful. The hotel is situated in a quieter part of Sanur so you don't get too much human traffic going up and down the footpath that runs along the beach. The breakfast is okay, I would like to see more selection but it was nice to have breakfast there, as it's located in an ideal spot, opposite the beach. What a stunning view!
The service was fantastic, whenever something went wrong (like not finding my keys to my suitcase padlock) the staff came around within minutes to help me. I couldn't fault them and would recommend the place to anyone. I even told my daughter that she should come here for her honeymoon!
