The Sri Phala is really a gem....
The Sri Phala is really a gem. Service was 5-star, including 4 staff getting up with me on departure day at 4:30 to make breakfast, get a taxi, etc. Nicely located in Sanur, in a quiet, tucked away neighborhood. Extremely good value; spring for the deluxe room as it includes a large, private terrace on the top floor, as well as mini-bar, coffee machine and ample breakfast. Great for couples, also have a couple of villas that are very nice for families. Excellent breakfast.
Don't be put off by the entrance...
Don't be put off by the entrance to this hidden gem. Spacious rooms front on a lovely garden and it's within a short walking distance from the beach. A lovely hideaway.
If you can not find this little...
If you can not find this little secret paradise on the map, it is opposite of KFC and Jazz Cafe. A short scroll to the beach at the beginning of the strip (norht side). We got a room upgrade to big villa which was with 2 bathrooms a little too big for 2 persons. For this price you can hardly find a better deal, even without upgrade. We stayed here 4 nights during new year 2005-2006.
Our favourite hotel in all Bali and...
Our favourite hotel in all Bali and Lombok! Stayed 3 nights here in a deluxe room, which was simply furnished, but beautiful (all with tvs!). No - its not on the beach but its only a short walk out the back entrance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Set in a family compound tucked away from the hustle and bustle of busy Sanur, Sri Phala is a tranquil place with gorgeous gardens and a nice pool. With only 20 rooms, the staff here all get to know you and we felt very relaxed and at home here. If you're after 30 big fountains, 10 pools, a tennis court and the impersonality that comes with a 5-star hotel, there are plenty of other hotels in Sanur that would suit you. However, if you are looking for a place to unwind while feeling relaxed, secure and pampered, we can definitely recommend Sri Phala.
My wife and i spent 9 nights...
My wife and i spent 9 nights at this hotel. After 17 trips to bali we found this hotel to be one of the best we have stayed at. The room was huge WITH television, the staff were extremely courteous and the breakfast was great. Because the hotel only has about 30 units the service is personal and very friendly. Plenty of restaurants within one kilomer radius. Room was spotlessly clean, bed was huge and the ac quite and efficient. We are in our 70's so we are a bit fussy, but cannot fault this hotel. Try it, you will return.
This hotel is totally a dissapointment. Deluxe...
This hotel is totally a dissapointment. Deluxe room is without tv, and fridge. It is very basic. The price of that room should have more ameneties. I would suggest to upgrade the room Villa room is you want to stay at this hotel. However, with the same amout of money, you could get a nicer accomodation at other hotels.
