Don't Miss This One -not a resort,...
Don't Miss This One -not a resort, but a spiritual and cultural experience. Thankyou Asia rooms so much for introducing us to Arma resort. We stayed for prices less than a quarter of the people in the next room. We loved all of the culture courses we tried - cooking, music, bali dancing, batik, woodcarving& more that weren't described on the internet: If you have a class, they'll help you practice for days afterward. Don't miss the Golden hour tour you'll see things that no other tourist sees. Our toilet was bigger than my bedroom at home and the bathroom was the size of my loungeroom. The bedroom of course was huge. We had two private balconies, and a private entrance, and the villas they offer are even more impressive than our deluxe room. This resort has space to explore and an incredible museum, in which the owner's personal collection of resident artists works from all over the world illustrate the influence of european artists living in Bali for the last 100 years. The food is amazing in all four venues on the property and Mrs Agung's cooking course was fun and incredibly informative. Himself an artist, Mr Agung Rei have done incredible things for Bali with the proceeds of this Resort. Local children are trained for free in traditional dancing at his museum, and while we were there the ARMA museum facilitated the free dental treatment of over 2000 Balinese by a team of 30 Singaporean dentists who stayed and ate as guests of Arma resort. Thankyou again Mr Agung Rei and AsiaRooms
