Great room but service not up to scratch
When we arrived they couldn't find the booking and the receptionist acted like it was our fault, despite me having a printed copy of the confirmation from 4 weeks ago. In the end she checked us in and gave us a better room than booked, which was nice. The room was in fact excellent, spacious and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was served outside the room which was also very nice. The resort as such is about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Ubud and up a hill. It's very quiet with a small pool and set on top of a gorge, which is rather pretty.
When we checked out the same receptionist forgot to give me my credit card back but texted me 1 hour later when we were already in Jimbaran. This cost me another 250.000 Rupees for a taxi to drop it the next day.
So, the resort is very nice if a bit far out of town, the suites are beautiful but the staff are very impersonal and lacklustre, especially compared with all the other places we stayed in.
