Needs some work!
I chose this hotel partly because it had in-room Internet; however despite assurances that the internet would be working the day after check-in, it never eventuated. After our five day stay, there was still no internet, which was annoying because I had work to do! The breakfast was below average served on old, stained crockery. I ended up eating breakfast out after the first morning. High season surcharge seemed ridiculous as the place was almost deserted! The satellite TV has a great selection of Asian channels but very little in English - so no Internet, poor channel selection and 5 days of unrelenting rain!
The room was comfortable although the hot water runs out very quickly. Certainly not enough for two people showering.

good value for money
The staff at Abian Biu was very friendly and helpfull. Thanks to them, we have met a wonderfull driver: Eddie. If you want to explore Bali by car, Eddie is the best guide.
The room was very clean with a nice small balcony. The pool was beautifull and all the meals could be served in our room.

Staffs are very friendly. They even have a super friendly in-house cat who would welcome you and follow you when called. Rooms are very clean, tidy. Quiet place, good for couples and people who want to have some private time. Nice atmosphere.
The only problem was the hot water supply is not enough for even one person to finish his shower. We always have to take turn to shower plus have to wait in between. And even we shower at different time, we would still ended up shower under cold water at the end. I guess the electric hot water boiler (hung on top of the shower faucet)was too small.

I were choosing between Abian Biu and Bali Agung, after reading reviews i've chosen Abian Biu and regret big time! I thought it's more expensive so it's better - i was wrong.
It's small guesthouse-like place. Manager totally doesn't know what he's doing there. 1st they gave me a room with broken aircon and water-heater and i had to PROVE it's broken, manager asked me to wait 30 min hoping that aircon and water-heater will magically start working... He didnt wanna give me another room (there were 3 available rooms on the same floor) After 3 hours i coulnd find him any more, but thank god another guy was very helpful and simply gave me the key for another room.
Wifi didnt work and noone didnt really worry about it.

the location is quite far from the main road where all the shops are but it is quiet and serene. the hotel front desk will call a cab for you whenever you need to head out. the environment is refreshing and the room is just nice for a group of 3. upkeep of the room was good. service was good too. for the price of the stay, i would think tat i got more of its worth :)

This is very friendly hotel and Joseph the owner and his staff will do all they can to help you. It has very stylishly designed and the rooms are a great size. Try and get the ensuite room as this has a wonderful bathroom. The only poor thing is the breakfast- they could improve on this. Otherwise, you'll feel at home straight away and they'll arrange a car for you or whatever you want. Great value for money.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. We had no trouble with dirty bathrooms or rooms. Our room was comfortable and quiet, with air conditioning. The staff was friendly and helpful. We also went for a massage at the spa, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our overall experience of Abian Biu was very positive. It is out of the way, but that was not a problem for us.

The website looked so good. That is the main reason why I chose the hotel for our weekend break in Bali. The atmosphere was good and I am sure that it was beautiful when it first opened a few years back.
The place was badly maintained including dirty towels and not enough hot shower.
Staff were extremely friendly and the manager should definitely start working on renovation and good maintenance. The place can be better.
My husband told the hotel his frank opinion and I hope that they will improve it in the future.

Nice setting but it definitely requires improvement in the service and maintenance. The towel was dirty and bathroom was not properly maintained.
The staff were very friendly and kind.
With a little bit of maintenance, it would turn into a wonderful hotel.
