The place looked fine to start with, although it's not the easiest place to get to, being on such a rough narrow road. It's set right back behind rice fields and you access the cottages via a narrow path. My problem was the difficulty in getting my heavy suitcases up and down the many steps. Our room was situated right at the bottom.
The bathroom wasn't clean and it was open aired and dated and let all the Mosquitos in. You could see though that they were trying to make the place better, they'd recently varnished all the wood because you could spell it. The service however was very polite.

the guesthouse was really hidden, need to walk for a distance before reaching the main road. definitely have to take a taxi at night as the road is not properly lit. the room was spacious, but seemed a bit too old. there were bugs flying in the room at night, probably it's due to the location being near the fields. the blanket was not really clean, i found some lizard shit on it. i guess security was not a priority in this guesthouse, there was no safe and you lock the main door with a padlock only.

A bit disappointing, I'm afraid. On the plus side, the grounds and surrounding area are nice, and the staff pleasant. However, the rooms are a little shabby - especially the bathrooms - and the location is less than ideal. Walks home at night in the dark may not be dangerous, but they can be uncomfortable. By far the worst place I stayed in in Bali so far - sorry.

A little bit remote from the center (the Bisma Ubud street is not asphalted up to the hotel).

There's no tv in the room which was very bored when we arrive back to the room to rest after spending whole day outside.

Only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Ubud. The access road is very poor but the hotel location is good, overlooking the stream/river valley. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is very quiet and suited us well

Bad points are:
-lack of restaurant inside
- far from the village (need motor bike or bike)
- very bad soundproofing (you perfectly hear the other guests in their room as if they were in yours!!)
