I made last minute reservations at the Niksoma and I couldn't have been more pleased. It was extremely well priced compared to many of the 5 star options however in my opinion it was miles ahead in terms of elegance, style, service and value.
Firstly, the hotel is smaller and newer that most in the area with a modern Asian design throughout. I recommend the junior suite option for their location and over sized bathrooms. The 2 level infinity pool provides a beautiful direct view of the ocean. The perfect place to enjoy a cocktail.
The staff were able to address my girlfriend and I with our first names from the moment we arrived which was an excellent touch.

Nice boutique hotel. We were upgraded from standard room to deluxe room on arrival - main difference being a more spacious room which was nice. Because of layout, not many of the rooms have good views but since most of our time was spent outside, this did not matter much. Service was excellent - friendly and polite, helpful and prompt, with the right balance of attentiveness and leaving you in peace.
Location is good. Hotel is right on the beach (but it is not a swimming beach, more a surfer's beach - hotel has a nice pool). There are shops, warungs and restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Legian area is quieter which I like and for those who crave more people, Kuta is a short taxi ride away or a nice beach walk away.

Overall this boutique resort was very good. The rooms were large, and had very good amenities. The only negative point was the bathroom.

Stayed standard room- had this not stayed in smell and feel....had to ask them to change bedsheet next day. Water does not stay hot for a bath so only shower is ok. Room quite big but can feel empty. Service was good and staffs nice and friendly. NIce pools but chlorine smell like most public pool..right at the end of Legian...a bit long to walk everyday in so most of the time we get a taxi. Breakfast was not great... same for the four days I am there except a change of one pastry...sorry no pancakes mentioned by others! Convenient to walk to other aresa along Legian by the beach area or even to kuta beach...20 mins. Best to walk along the beach path than to walk along the road to legian main areas. had many surrounding hotels butu looks the best and best maintained. Pretty good overall.

Had an amazing two weeks at the Niksoma Boutique. The staff were very helpfull and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. The view from the pool is beautiful and the surroundings are so peaceful. The hotel is fresh and newly renovated so it doesnt look tired as many do in Bali. Hope to visit again soon for a banana pancake for breakfast.
