Flora Kuta
Very satisfied with the hotel cleanliness and service here. But the food is not so good. It is not far from Kuta beach too. Only about 10 minutes walking distance.
Too noisy!
There was some major work going on next door and buildersbegan banging and hammering from about 8AM till about 10 - 1030AM!! Every single day!
Even after complaining it went on the next day!
Swimming pool supposed to open at 0700, yet a family with 4 screaming children were in the pool from 0600 to 0745, thge pool being just 2 metres from my room!! I told them to be quiet but with no good result, they started screaming again after 5 minutes!!
Very uncomfortable stay!
Food at breakfast was cold, stale and very unappetising!!
I would say that I am truly satisfied during my 5 days stay at this hotel. I did not encounter any of the negative comments as stated. Staffs there are extremely friendly and polite, customer service was a thumbs up. Bathroom was sparkling clean and air-con works fine. No noise or whatsoever. The minus points are, 1. toiletries given are limited so you'll need to ask for it once it's finished and 2. The water's a bit cold in the morning even though there's hot shower. However, I will come back to this hotel again. This hotel is highly recommended for non-fussy travellers.

The location is pretty good within 10...
The location is pretty good within 10 minutes walking to the beach and 10 minutes to nightlife. The staff working the front desk were rude. The TV in the room is pretty much useless...all channels were fuzzy. There was never any hot water. I booked the room on asia rooms in US dollars and they charged me 9300 rupiah for 1 US dollar when it should be more like 9000 rupiah to the dollar. Bring some ear plugs if you want to sleep...there are kids yelling in the pool from 6 AM to midnight. Room service is very slow...I left my room at 10 am and requested that my room be made up and when i returned 5 hours later they were still making up my room. Breakfast was cold and terrible.

Don't wait so much. It's a good hotel with a good location but the rooms are very simples. The façade and the pool are very nice.
For the breakfast you have to choose from some plates and they bring you only what you have choosen.
Internet is free of charge but you have to go to the restaurant or around the pool.

I went to Flora Beach with my boyfriend on the 16/12/07 and check in ard 10pm. We booked this hotel as we only arrived at night and it is stated in the web that it is only 5 mins away from the airport.
We choosed this hotel cos we ald waste the first day.
We stayed in the hotels for 2 nights and then switch to Mercure Kuta which is nearer to the beach.
Overall, the room is okay.
I mean, only for USD$20 it is quite value for $$.
The room is big and pretty clean. But the furnitures and faclities are tired and old.
The toilet is quite old with stains and the room we have does not have hot showers.
I did not shower in the hotel.
Anyway, we did not stay in the room in daytime, only for sleeping so its quite okay for us for the first 2 nights.
It is recommended for those budget travellors who needs basic facilities and clean bed.
Oh yeah, they have a swimming pool too but i never get to swim.
I knew I couldn't expect much from...
I knew I couldn't expect much from a S$38/night room so I was prepared but oh boy, I couldn't get out of the hotel fast enough after a few hours (we checked in late, about 10pm).
The swimming pool water looked very dirty, the room floor was dirty, the toilet too and it smelled. Meanwhile, 2 cockroaches freely roamed our room. It was so bad we didn't even take our morning shower there, preferring instead to just leave immediately for the hotel that we were booked for the rest of our 5-day stay (Jimbaran area).

The only good point is it's just right in the middle of KUTA beach... If you just want to have a clean bed, it's perfect
