My experience in Ida
Stayed here for 7 nights. On the first 4 nights, we stayed in their most basic standard room which had worn out doors and could only be locked by a lock from outside and with a wooden stick from inside. Toilet was an open-aired concept which was a major minus for you get all types of insects visiting you. On the 4rh night, a frog visited us and we requested for a change of room the next morning. We got a much improved room on the 3rd flr and we had better doors and a toilet within the rm itself. Bathroom had a foul smell probably due to the poor drainage system. Staff was friendly and the food was above average in the restaurant. Breakfast was adequate with white bread, your choice of eggs fried, poached etc, and bacon or sausage. Coffee, tea juices and tropical fruits. Pool was clean and it was a good place to chill out and mingle with fellow guests.dont understand why they cant invest in cable tv in all rooms. Only superior rooms have them. The rest only got to content with 14" tv with local channels. Cupboards were quite dusty too. On the whole i was satisfied with the hotel experience.

This is a budget hotel, but in high season, not at a budget price. The shower was hopeless, very little water pressure, sometimes cold.sometimes scalding. The bathroom drains smelt badly. The pool was small but quite pleasant, the buffet breakfast good, the location near Mata Hari and the Art Market excellent.

The hotel is good and the staff are very accomodating except that you have to walk the narrow space before reaching the hotel. Food is good also.

I only stayed for 2 nights as...
I only stayed for 2 nights as an extended stop to meet up with friends in Kuta before I moved on to the east coast of Bali, so basically I only used this hotel to sleep over in. Check in was quick and easy, I was asked if I wanted to pay on check in or check out. They had a pool, and massage services which I did not use. Breakfast was a simple affair, but readily avaliable when I went to eat. The rooms and bathroom are in need of an update but they were functional. The room was not cleaned or made up or clean towels provided after the first night. The hotel is a very short walk from Kuta Square and the beach. The alleyway mentioned in other reviews is wide enough to take a car as it is the entrance to the hotel, it has lighting now, and a security booth at the end of it (around 20 metres). All in all I would say you pay for what you get, but as I was only using it as a layover hotel I wasn't that bothered.

I stayed there 3 nights. Was a pretty budget hotel didn't really expect much. But overall it was good. Don't expect very cold air conditioning. Just that the toilets are always smelly even when I spray air freshener the smell disappears and come back again. haha. I think is the drainage problem. I must say it's a Good location, there is food, supermarket and shops near the hotel. Kuta beach was a walkable distance from hotel. Hotel went blackout twice on my first night. Some part of the streets also went black out. I guess it's a common thing there. Just bring along your torch light cause the hotel only provide candles.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights....
Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Getting around to the main attractions such as Kuta Square and Matahari Mall was very near except for the beach you have to walk further up a little more, which is still acceptable. It is all good for the walk as you will pass by shops selling Bali souvenirs, batik slingbags, Bali tees etc. If you would like to get around Kuta, Legian or anywhere, I would strongly recommend you rent a bike or car. It will be fun to do some exploring but make sure to memorize the roads while traveling and read the map well beforehand. Furthermore the hotel itself is located at a corner which seems rather secluded because you have to walk down this alley but rest assured not that bad after all. The facilities is not that great, pool is small, at least 8 sun deck chairs. The size of the room is big with a balcony and a rack stand outside for drying your clothes. The bathroom water from the shower has very weird temperature. Imagine waking up early in the morning turning on the tap and getting cold water instead. There is 2taps, 1 for hot the other cold. Tried turning the taps here and there to get the perfect warm water for bathing but ended up being unsuccessful. Water is either too hot or freaking cold. Water for showering is the worst part of all!! Got fresh towels and clean floor everyday as the housekeeper is doing his job well. Cheers for that. While walking back to the room at night, be careful as the pathways are not brightly lit. I would suggest if you can get a room located on the ground floor rather then the second and third level. Overall the service is good, this hotel is definitely value for money. Location wise excellent. You would not want to expect much from its low pricing. Perfect accommodation for budget travellers.
