we already requested for a room at lower level but instead were given a room few floor from ground and the worse thing there was no lift to that room. Dinner was terrible as the staff was very slow. i would not really recommend this hotel.

It's not a really big hotel, but...
It's not a really big hotel, but that was nice, because everybody know's you and the staff really do their best to give you all you want. The rooms are really big and comfortable and had a nice balcony. The rooms were clean, air conditioned and the hotel supplied 2 bottles of water in the room each day. The food was good. Plenty of choice for breakfast (fruit, toast, croissants, juice, freshly cooked ommelettes etc) and there was buffet lunch each day (but you could also choose from the a-la-carte menu when you wanted). There were buffets for eventing meals several times a week with a free cultural show (Barong dance, Balinese dancers etc), but you can order off the menu at any time for dinner as well.. The pool was lovely with a swim up bar and the grounds in the centre of the hotel had ponds with fish and fountains which was very picturesque. The staff are fantastic and always happy to see you and take the time to learn your names. The hotel were great at organising a taxi that would stay with you for the day and take you where ever you wanted to go around the island. The hotel is close to Kuta, where you can go out or have dinner or go shopping. You can go there by taxi. There is also a Shopping centre in Nusa Dua the Bali Collection, a group of shops, restaurants and supermarket about 25 minutes away..

We living in the Melina Benoa three days and two nights, in the check in time, Miss counters called the other side of me sitting, and whisper tell me: I help you to do upgrade, do not tell others, this in itself is to spend 30 .- U.S. only! I wonder, because I booked a triple room, what difference it! After they entered the room, Miss took us to look at the room, and then calls at beds, I would like to thank her, she stood to me to tip! When I come up with one dollars later, She looks not quite happy, a little smelly face, left! My kids have asked me how the case? let us feel very uncomfortable! I will not live in this hotel a! super rude of..

This hotel was very good for its value, however my girlfriend and I found it to be much better to not go allinclusive and to travel about for meals. The hotel is near many good restaurants and they all have free transport. The beach front of the hotel is great, the rooms are spacious and the staff is helpful. We had a little lizard visit our room on a few occasions but they are harmless and staff is speedy to assist you in their removal. The breakfast is good, although a little repetitive as the trip wore on. The spa facility was nice as well. We would recommending staying at this hotel, it really is a great value!

The hotel is quite old fashion, it does not match with Bali spirit. The tiles are very old, the ways around the people are not good to walk w/o shoes, the pool looks old fashion. The room was renovated but it was too much like a business room. Having said that, the service is outstanding, people are very gentle and quick to resolve issues. I acknowledge the very good work of mrs Padma (in reception) to fix issues of booking in time manner and also the job done by Mr Adrian in activities area. The New Year party was quite good - food was great and the show was good as well. However, the overall cost of it was not value for it. I spend half of it to stay in a better hotel in Bali before going to Melia Benoa.

We were upgraded from a deluxe room...
We were upgraded from a deluxe room to a suite so no complaints there! The suite had 2 floors and the floor to ceiling was really high. The second floor encompassed a huge bedroom with twin beds with its own attached bath/toilet. The suite had a dining room too. However, I think there could be two areas for improvement. Firstly, the air-conditioning didn't work well with such a huge space and since the 2nd floor bedroom had no door, it could feel a little warm in there as the air-conditioning 'leaks' onto the floor downstairs where the living and dining room are. Secondly, over at the bar counter, it would be nice if there was a sink as that was where the kettle was. To take water, we had to go into the powder room by the main door or take the water from the bathroom adjoining the master bedroom. Also, as the bottles of water are placed there, it would also be nice if the hotel included a bottle-opener there, rather that the guest having to walk all the way to the master bedroom to get the bottle openend. All in all, the size and location of the room were superb. The good-sized balcony faced both the pool and the beach. If the air-conditioning could be improved, it'd be perfect. We didn't use much of the hotel facilities but the hotel has started to look a little tired and some touch-ups (eg. a new coat of paint) would be nice.

Was there last in 2004 and it was way cool. Go with the ex. suit as it really is great and has a lot more room than the standard room. Breakfast was excellent but the dinner prices were a little on the high side. Did the spa and it to was a little $$$ but worth the treatment. Location is not so hot but easy to arrange a cab or driver. Rented a Moto the last two days and it worked out great. The resort itself is clean and neat and very well kept. The staff was nice and did their very best to accomidate our wishes. Would be great for honey mooners and people who want to get away from the busy life. Give it a shot, you won't be sorry.
