We stayed at the Aston Inn in...
We stayed at the Aston Inn in May 2010... We took a total of 4 rooms between us & our friends.... After going out on our first day in Bali, we came back to be told they would like to upgrade us to a Business Suite for no charge. We then had a joining balcony with our friends, which was great.... The Staff at the Aston we're absolutely Fantastic, just the best, could not do more for you...... The Hotel itself is gorgeous, Breakfasts we're wonderful. Eggs anyway you want... Lunch awesome again, their Cheeseburger is the Best... While we were there they had a B.B.Q. night, once again nothing to fault.... All their Dinners down in Cafe were top notch.... Pool was almost always quiet except for us, & the Pool Bar Magic, Pool Bar Staff we're great
All in all would go back just to stay there again

Bottom line, a good value for the money. The hotel is relatively new with a nice clean "retro" look as they call it. Good music track in the public space. The young staff is very enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. The food in the small poolside cafe is decent. I didn't personally care for the fact that the hotel is built as a rectangle with the pool-cafe in its courtyard since sound resonates throughout the building. But when I was there most people were in bed by 11 p.m. so the noise didn't keep me up. At the price point, about $80 US, I have no complaints. A drawback for some travelers may be the fact that the Aston Tuban is not really within walking distance of restaurants and bars of S. Kuta; you'll need to cab it. That said, it's a short ride, less than five minutes and won't cost you much, a couple of bucks US.

The Business Suite is pretty spacious and clean. However the hotel does not have much facilities, other than the cafe and the pool.
The free wireless is very weak.
The shower water flow is very weak.
The location is abt 10-15 mins from kuta area.. which is pretty near.

Great and friendly service. Airport transport professional and efficient. Nice buffet breakfast -- yummy fried rice! Best spot is to have breakfast by the swimming pool. Could do better with welcome drink though.

Old hotel (with "cosmetic" colored renovation). Didn't enjoyed the smell of old rooms. But the rooms are fine, painted with a new color, we can find items often provided by a 4 star hotel. Pool is nice. Related with the location is near the airport. By taxi we can easy access Kuta beach and main shopping areas, restaurants, etc. Walking will take around 20-30 minutes. Fortunately at least for now taxis are affordable in Indonesia. Free shuttle to airport provided. I think it will be adequate for business travelers, seniors, and people who just want to stay near the airport to catch the next flight.

You can expect it to be almost similar to the photos. The purple charm exudes warm, fun & rather cute hotel. The room is trendy & we really felt great during our stay there.
In addition, it was easy to find halal food, located exactly opposite the hotel. We had Minang/Padang food at lunch & Sundanese food for dinner. In fact, u can easily find other Halal places within the long stretch of street.
The hotel entrance is also located by the street so it's easy to hail cabs unlike some other hotels where u have to walk into narrow path to find its entrance.
Convenient for families & senior citizens. Plus it has a pretty pool. At night, it was quiet but u still feel safe. There was a security guard & musholla too near the entrance of its lobby.
Most of the staffs were friendly. Except 1 female staff. She coldly told us that the driver was not available to shuttle us to Centro Shopping Mall although the hotel was advertised to provide the service. She could be more friendly if she had smiled like the rest of the staffs who served us.
The hotel is just 5 mins drive to Centro Mall which also located opposite Waterbom Park. Centro was big enough for us to pass the time & served great variety of halal food at its food court. U get a spectacular view of the sea while enjoying your meal. On the day we checked out, the hotel was kind to let us store our luggages with them while we spent time at Waterbom & Centro. Aston kept luggages for us till night coz our flight was at 10pm.
No worries for traffic jams whatsoever. To airport, it's juz 15mins drive & hotel staff will shuttle u there free at request.
