Excellent Accommodation
Desamuda was perfect! The gardens and rooms were very well maintained. They were actually immaculate. The rooms are a getting a little older but they are so well looked after you would not even know. There were two main pools which were great. The one not near the restaurant is about 20m long, its huge. So great for floating around and playing with some pool toys! The location was about a ten minute walk to Jalan Oberoi (main food area). So it was easy to walk to places for dinner. The beach probably took about 20 minutes to 30 minutes to walk there, just as the footpath does require some concentration to avoid falling in holes. Staff at the hotel were super friendly and look after your every need.
Great place to stay, close to shopping and great area, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are great for the value and kept well and cleaned i would definately stay there again

listening to other reviews we were a little apprehensive,some good some bad but upon arriving at the villa we were shown ours and it was fantastic, outdoor living area with a 7 metre pool and a plunge pool with sun beds,were dont know wheather it was a upgrade but we accepted it as we had booked 1 bed villa with a pool,the staff were friendly and they would do anything for you,the breakfast was good and the meals on the menu lovely,but the best was, our check out was 12 noon we did a little shopping went back to the reception had a drink with 8 hours before our flight they gave us a complimentary room where we could relax and shower,thank you desamuda
Great place to stay good location verry friendly staff and 2 bed villa was fantastic and came with private pool and free breakfast that was outstanding food would recomend to anyone as good value for money
Great location & settings
Awesome find in the heart of seminyak. We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa pre-wedding with 2 other couples & their baby. The location, setting, staff, facilities, service was fantastic. Desamuda had a really nice comfortable feel to it & I would definately stay there again. The top floor was bit of a waste of space, we didn't use that level but everything else was great. We also liked the fact that it served local food (which was hard for us to find on the streets) so we ate there a few times, once with some more friends by the pool.
Our family holiday
We stayed at Desamuda for 4 nights at the 3 room villa with private pool. We were very happy with the overall accomodation, it's cleanliness and was child friendly. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Overall, while the villa is located in the middle of the bustling seminyak town, we were well away from all the noise, and it was quiet and just fantastic. Our only concern or should we say that the hotel could improve on is the limited choice of breakfast menu.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone.

The staff is very friendly. The location in the centre of Seminyak is perfect and very quiet.
Some parts of the resort are a little shabby. They should renovate and paint the complex.

Stayed at Desamuda Village for 4 nights in June. The location is fantastic, close to all Seminyak shops, beaches and restaurants.
Two large public pools, nice well maintained gardens.
Villa - we had Villa 1, 3 bed, the layout was a little cramped by other 3 bed villa standards in Bali and lacked some of the comforts. i.e. Pool is constantly in shade so fairly cold, the lounge room is upstairs but there is no seating, TV or even Balinese pillows to lay on so that space doesn't get used.
The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are very very good.
Staff are always polite as with most Balinese hotels
The room service is way over priced by Bali standards and the quality is very poor; i.e. Chewy, cold calamari, cold, packet style satay and drinks without ice. All for the same prices as Australia.
Not to worry though as there are some great restaurants and dining experiences in Seminyak... did somebody say Potato Head!
Wonderful place to stay...
Wonderful place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff and a great location away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta, but still very handy to shops etc.
Desamuda Family
The staff, accommodation and facilities were very good and our stay was certainly well worth the money. The only minor complaint I would have is that the lounge seating for a family of four in the two bedroom villa was a little inadequate. Two more comfortable chairs and a slightly softer couch would have made a big difference. definitely a place to consider staying if you wish to stau in Seminyak.
